WOYWW....

Here we are again at our Wednesday 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours' blog post for the week.  If you still don't know what it's all about then please pop over to our Queen of snoop's blog where you will find the details and maybe you will join us.....it's a lot of fun and there really are some wonderfully talented folk out in this world we live in.

So?  You're here to see my desk aren't you?

It's that time of year when I have to get my books up to date ready to fill in my tax forms so in between my sewing jobs I've been busy with my records....not my fav job but needs must.

I have b****** curtains to shorten.  You know just how much I love curtains don't you?  As I said about book work....needs must lol

My knitting has been taking shape....just got the hood to finish knitting now.
I went with Mark and Gina on Sunday to see the latest scan on the expected little family member.....lots of oooohs and awwwws.  It's so lovely to see the little one moving, kicking and waving before it's born.

As I've nearly finished the little hoodie I'm knitting I needed to be sure I didn't run out of wool so this is the batch of yarns I've bought to get knitting with....all unisex colours cos we don't know what this one will be.....nice though aren't they?

That's all from me for today....we are busy wallpapering the living room now so I don't get a lot of spare time for crafting.  Please leave me a little message to let me know you've called by and I will do my best to pop over to yours when I can....if you have google+ I do read your posts but am unable to leave you a comment....sorry.

WOYWW...

Hello folks.  I am thankfully feeling rather better this week...both on the house front and the health front.  :-)  Isn't it funny how these things seem to go hand in hand?  For those that missed my Saturday blog post [ below] you might like to know that although we had 10 plus weeks fighting to get our sale completed on the bungalow we were hoping to move to the sale just wasn't to be and fell through.  We are now pushing for a quick sale on another bungalow and the more we think about it the more we know in our hearts that this was meant to be...the other one was causing a lot of heart ache, I'm sure wouldn't have been a happy house to move into and came with an awful lot of work to get it how we would have wanted it.  This one felt like home as we walked through the door  :-)

So folks?  What is on my work desk this week?

I have finished the little hoodie I was knitting.  It has turned out well and I'm really thrilled with it.

I have had little helpers with my crafting this week.....

Whilst Sam finished off his morning nap Lexi helped plan the blanket to be made with my knitted squares  :-)
What a lovely activity it was too....she counted, chose the colours and very carefully placed them all into patterns :-)

Yesterday I, very bravely, got my little munchkins to help me sort my big box of odd balls of knitting wools.  We had lengths of wool from one end of the living room to the other but they had lots of fun finding different colours, helping Nanny wind the balls up and deciding which ones were their favourites  :-)

"Oh Nanny what a lot of wool you've got!!"

So there you go....more about trying to encourage little ones to love crafting than showing you anything I have done creatively this week but it's so good to see them enjoying the colours and textures that yarns come with.  :-)

Thanks for calling by.  If you'd like to leave me a little hello comment I will do my best to call in on your to see what you've been up to this week.

WOYWW...

I could say in answer to what's on my work desk for this week...pretty much the same as last week.....but with a few changes.  :-)

I have a to do rail full of shirts to take in for my 1285th customer!  The numbers keep climbing and I have a feeling if we ever get to this new bungalow they may well climb further as it is opposite a school  so lots of potential new customers :-) ....but I've still no more news to share on the house moving date.

The same pile of knitted squares as last but, wow, look how it's grown...it's now twice Mitzy monkey's height!
There is definitely girl colours and boy colours too so they may well be made into two blankets  :-)

The same little knitted hoodie but I have now completed a back, two cable knit fronts and am now knitting both sleeves....yes I like to knit them both together  :-)

So there you go...a very similar desk but progress has been made.  I had the twins Monday, Tuesday and they are here again to play today so I will try to catch up on you if and when they have naps later.  Have a great week.

WOYWW...

Another week has passed with yet more sorting, packing into yet more boxes and, yes, yet another load of rubbish taken to the local tip....yes, that's load 22!!!

Every spare minute seems occupied with new houses and plans for a move.....not only us but we went with our son and his financee to look at the new house they are buying last Saturday and on Sunday we babysat for the twins so their mummy and daddy could go to look at a larger house that they would like to buy......this house moving lark is spreading like wild fire round here  :-)

So?  What's on my work desk for you to look at today?

Here you can see Mitzy Monkey looking after my growing pile of knitted blanket squares.
For those that asked last week...my squares are knitted diagonally and the pattern I use is one I have adapted so if anyone was interested I'd be happy to share the instructions if you fancied knitting some.

The other thing I've got on the go is a little knitted hoodie for one of the babies expected locally in the next month.  They don't know the sex of the baby and I really love this pale turquoise wool for either a boy or girl.  Can you see the pretty cable pattern up the left hand side?  I've not knitted cable for a few years so am really chuffed with how it's turning out...a bit like riding a bike I guess [not that I can actually ride one!!].

Well folks thats all from me for today.  Short and sweet, just like Julia requests  :-)  I hope you have enjoyed your visit and will leave me a little hello message so I know you've called by.  I will do my best to pay you a return visit as soon as possible.

WOYWW....

What a wonderful week I've had since last Wednesday.  Not only have we had all the Easter celebrations, we have also had our little Lulu's 2nd birthday party.
Happy Birthday Lulu for yesterday....My, how you've grown since we took this pic :-)

I've really enjoyed 4 days off work with lots and lots of wonderful family times.
We took our little twin munchkins to see our old neighbour in her care home as an Easter treat.  I'm sorry to say she isn't too well at the mo and old age really is taking it's toll on her [she was asleep on her bed and still in her nightie and dressing gown at nearly lunch time  :-( ] but her face really lit up to see the little ones.  I'm not sure she would remember we had been 5 mins after we left but for that moment alone the effort was all worth while....thanks M.

What is on my desk today?.....

This is the latest little hoody that I've knitted for my friend's expected first Grandbaby.  It's sat on my table waiting to have it's buttons sewn on.

Here are the latest 3 little dollies in the making.  They are to be bride dolls for the three little flower girls at Michelle's wedding in July hence their silver shoes.

This is one of them in the next stage of the making.  I've made her a little ivory satin dress and firmly stitched a little posy of flowers on the front.  She still needs lace edged pants [can't have a girl getting married without her pants can we!!].  Not sure if I will give her a veil or quite how I will do it yet and I still have to decide on hair and facial features too.  Can you tell just how much fun I'm having?

This morning I plan to be working on the real Wedding dress if my customers stay away long enough so will call by to visit your desks in between jobs.  Do leave me a little hello message to say you've called by before popping over to see Julia and I will do my best to do a return visit asap.
