This week's smiles....week 288

Happy Friday to you all.  It's been a really lovely week here with lots of birthday celebrations for little Theo who is two today so of course I have pics to share with you...

Happy birthday Theo.  As you can see he really enjoyed the celebrations...and the final pic just shows how much :-)

I really love this pic of Amy with her three enjoying their holidays. An afternoon siesta was insisted on  because of course it is 'French law' [isn't it? ;-) ]so it meant they were able to be happy and awake a little later in the evening.

Here's the twins with the Shrewsbury town football mascot.  They both went with their daddy to watch the match and even saw their first goal....even though I think it was an own goal!

And finally here's a pic for all you dog lovers.....Milly is having her manicure/pedicure.  I clip her nails then she has a cuddle and sits for me to file the rough edges off.  She's such a sweet heart.

That's all from me for this week.  I plan to be making more smiles this weekend as I am going to the crop in Llandudno to meet up with a lot of my blogging friends....some I've met before and some I've known for a long time but never met.....I'm soooooo excited.
Have a great week.
Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 40

Wow!  40 weeks of smiles!!! Where has that time gone?  Thank you to each and every one of you who has joined in during all that time.   My featured blog this week is Ros over at Wild Cards on my Workdesk.  I just loved her pic of those baby ducks with all their little legs stretched out behind them.  :-)  Thanks for sharing Ros.

I have so many things this week that has made me smile so I'm sharing them all.

Birthday fun for our youngest Grandson  Stephen.  Don't you just love his cake?

I know they will bless me in years to come but this really made me smile.  My little twinnies reading their books while sat side by side on their potties  :-)

My third quilt square for the Children in Need fund raiser....you can see details here if you want to join in....there is still time as a simple square like mine really doesn't take long to make.

And my last pic is of the most gorgeous rainbow over our garden this week.  Isn't nature wonderful?  Thanks for dropping by.  I really hope at least one of my pics made you smile as much as they did me.  Please leave me a little hello comment and if you can then please snap something that has made you smile this week and link it up below to share with your friends.

Hugs,

This week's smiles...week 37

What special shares we had this last week and each and every one made me smile but there has to be one that made me smile more than others and this week it just had to be Jo's post sharing the news of the early arrival of her little grandson.  He has a gorgeous big sister and curly girlies who are cousins but he is the first  little boy so I can well imagine just how much he will be spoiled by the girls and of course his doting Grandparents....many many congrats to all concerned and thanks to Jo for letting us share in her excitement.

As most of you will know there has been lots here to celebrate since last week with the 2nd birthday of my little twinnie munchkins so this week I have put a few pics of the celebrations to share with you....if they don't make you smile I'd be really surprised ....after all you have watched them grow with us thanks to the world of blogging.

I was hoping to have good news on the house front but as yet it's just not happened......we managed to get the bungalow we want at a price we can afford but in the time it took to get that our buyers have disappeared.  It's such a game isn't it?  I'm sure if it's meant to happen it will but until then we will keep hoping and praying.

Now please take a look at your world and find something that has made you smile this week to share with our friends.  Please link up below between now and next Friday and I will choose the best to feature when I post my next Happy post.

Have a great week.
Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 36

Hello fellow 'Share a smile' friends.  I think we should all call ourselves members of the SAS don't you?

There weren't so many last week but many thanks to those that made the effort and joined in the fun....lets see if maybe a few more will join us this week.  It really does make you feel better when you have something to smile about.  This week I am featuring Lyn over at Spyder's Corner with her fab pic of the doggie showing off the latest fashions and the gorgeous snaps of little Liamh...oh how she is growing.  Thanks Lyn for sharing your smiles.

So?  What have I got to share with you this week?

Today is my little twinnie munchkin's 2nd Birthday and that in itself gives me so much to smile about.  They were born on our future daughter- in-law, Gina's birthday so we have lots to celebrate today.

The twins really are growing up into two gorgeous little people and I am truly blessed to be able to share so much of their lives.  They have many days planned this week celebrating with family and friends and have a party for them all on Saturday afternoon...we are all so excited.
My snap is one of some of that celebrations.  Wednesday afternoon Amy took her three little munchkins to Shell's so they could all have tea together, give the twins early birthday presents and as a really special treat before they left they all had fun in the bath together.....

I hope you like the editing  :-)

Isn't that a real happy pic?  There was so much splashing and giggling by all.....I get so much pleasure out of seeing them all grow up together.

I hope you will share your happy posts today and join me in wishing Gina, Sam and Lexi a very
Happy Birthday.

WOYWW....

What a wonderful week I've had since last Wednesday.  Not only have we had all the Easter celebrations, we have also had our little Lulu's 2nd birthday party.
Happy Birthday Lulu for yesterday....My, how you've grown since we took this pic :-)

I've really enjoyed 4 days off work with lots and lots of wonderful family times.
We took our little twin munchkins to see our old neighbour in her care home as an Easter treat.  I'm sorry to say she isn't too well at the mo and old age really is taking it's toll on her [she was asleep on her bed and still in her nightie and dressing gown at nearly lunch time  :-( ] but her face really lit up to see the little ones.  I'm not sure she would remember we had been 5 mins after we left but for that moment alone the effort was all worth while....thanks M.

What is on my desk today?.....

This is the latest little hoody that I've knitted for my friend's expected first Grandbaby.  It's sat on my table waiting to have it's buttons sewn on.

Here are the latest 3 little dollies in the making.  They are to be bride dolls for the three little flower girls at Michelle's wedding in July hence their silver shoes.

This is one of them in the next stage of the making.  I've made her a little ivory satin dress and firmly stitched a little posy of flowers on the front.  She still needs lace edged pants [can't have a girl getting married without her pants can we!!].  Not sure if I will give her a veil or quite how I will do it yet and I still have to decide on hair and facial features too.  Can you tell just how much fun I'm having?

This morning I plan to be working on the real Wedding dress if my customers stay away long enough so will call by to visit your desks in between jobs.  Do leave me a little hello message to say you've called by before popping over to see Julia and I will do my best to do a return visit asap.

WOYWW....

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to one and all,
Happy Birthday to you,

It's 2 years today since Julia had the brainwave of linking up us crafters by getting us to show and tell each week.  I've seen desks, floor spaces, settees and tables full of wonderful crafting stash.  I've 'met' the most amazing artists, card makers, fellow fabric crafters, creative writers....in fact just about everything that could be classed as a craft.  And the very best bit of all is that, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say, I have made some really special friends.
So it's a huge Thank you  to Julia and here's to many more wonderful Wednesdays together.
Cheers to one and all.

Now for my WOYWW  I'm just posting a couple of quick snaps of what is happening in my world today.

I've bought large double sheets and am making cot / moses basket sheets for the up and coming babies with them.  They are brushed cotton and will make lovely cosy baby wraps....notice 2 lots of blue and one lot of pink  :-)  Plus I have some table clothing [turquoise with colourful flowers on] to make a couple of covers for the patio tables.

Here is a quick snap of our two little treasures who were trialling the new push chair....it's just perfect....they loved it and it's so easy to push.  They popped to see us for an hour while their mummy and daddy were visiting their new baby cousin in hospital.  Our son in law's brother has become the very proud new dad of a gorgeous baby boy.........

I knew you would all like to see the first snap of baby Jack.  He was born on 29th May weighing 7lb 9 oz.  Both mum and baby are now home and doing well.  Little P and L have now seen their new baby cousin and think he's really cute  :-)

Now girls it's time to pop over to link yourselves on Julia's blog and hopefully you will all be joining in the Birthday celebrations with the pass if forward gifts.

Don't forget to check out the links on my last post to grab yourselves a bargain but you will have to be quick cos the auction will be ending soon.
