This week's smiles....week 333

Now that's a nice round number 333.  What a lot of smiles we've shared over the years too....keep them coming folks cos it sure makes the world a better place to be.

This week has been full of smiles for me so I've lots to share with you...

Sunday we had a ride out in the motor home to Bala and Biscuit bear posed for me to snap a pic looking out at all the people enjoying fun on the lake....we even saw a couple of dogs body boarding but Milly declined.

Amy's three have been enjoying days out in their camper van ....I love seeing them all playing together and doing just what children should be doing.

Steve has enjoyed a day's football training each week and this week he was asked to join in a special goal keeper's training session because the trainers can see a lot of potential in him....one very proud Nanny Annie here.

The twins and Theo have been away camping on the Welsh coast with their mummies this week....it sounded like they have had lots of fun together....if maybe not quite as much sleep as their mummies were hoping.

For her Dad's retirement Amy and family gave him a voucher to use at a really nice country pub which we enjoyed a meal at on Tuesday lunchtime this week...and the best thing is that it only used half of the voucher so we will be going back there soon to enjoy using the other half.  Thanks Amy and co. xxxx

We both had salmon and monk fish with new potatoes and salad for main then just had to enjoy one of their yummy desserts afterwards [I have to say mine was really yummy but a little too sweet for me so Dod had to finish it off for me...no hardship there].

Finally, last but by no means least was this thank you card I received this week.  It was so lovely to have feedback on a quilt I donated to raise money at our local children's hospice.  It was really nice to think my quilt had, in a small way, helped to raise such a huge amount for such a good cause.

That's all from me for this week.  If you can please link to your own smiles below and I will pop over to see what's been making you smile this week.
Hugs,
Annie x

It's been so long since I was here....

Where do I start?

Firstly I must say a huge thank you to one and all and of course the biggest thanks must go to Jo for keeping you updated while I was on the biggest roller coaster of my life.  What a week it has been....everything from total euphoria to terror and fear and no knowing what would be round the next corner at any minute.  I still feel a little shaky so please forgive me if I keep this short.

I just wanted to share a few collages of pictures I have taken to allow M to be in touch with her babies while she recovered.  Last night as most of you will know M was transferred back to a special quiet room in the Maternity hospital.  They are still monitoring her blood pressure closely as she is still on many oral medications to maintain her condition but it means she can have her wonderful fiance and two very special little people in the room with her.  They have put a bed for B in M's room so he can stay day and night and help M feed and change the babies and finally become the family that should have been a week ago.

And finally these are the latest set.  The two on the left are of M being back on Maternity and being able to have special times with her two babies so are really special ones for me.  Yes she still looks poorly but believe me when I say she looks soooooooo much better than she did.

Latest update is.....M has just rang me to say they are stopping the drug that they gave her for the fits today and moving her to the GP unit end of Maternity [where pretty normal things go on  :-) ].  She is being given a large side room with a bathroom by the nurses station so the midwives can keep a close eye on her but life can start to get more normal for them.  She will probably be in another week for her body to recover but who cares....it's just so good that we can now all look forward with a little more confidence to hope for better things to come.

Once again....thank you all for the love, prayers and positive vibes that have got us all through this really awful time.

What a lovely bunch you are....

So many of you lovely bloggers showed genuine concern over this stupid old woman who went falling down the stairs yesterday morning.  I thought I should pop on here this morning to say a huge thank you [and a really special one to the kind blogging friend who even text me last night to check up on me.....thanks Keryn].  My left ankle seems to be what was took the fall and by last night it was rather swollen but apart from being a little stiff this morning so far all body parts seem to be in working condition  :-).....and I've not looked for the bruises  :-)

Twiglet and I popped up to Montgomery yesterday afternoon while our men were at Shrewsbury Town's first footy game of the season to call in on our good friend  Tina of Indigo Moon. She is having her first art exhibition in the local Old Bell Museum gallery.  It all looked amazing ....that girl has real talent....so if you get a chance please pop in and say hello and check out her wonderful mixed media artwork.  We also just had to pop into their shop too because they have revamped and restocked it with some really amazing goodies....It's really looking great and of course I couldn't escape without a few more of their gorgeous buttons  :-)

I know, I know I was probably on my ankle too much yesterday but I wouldn't have missed out on paying Tina a visit and giving her our support at this really important time for her.  I wish her all the luck in the world and told her to remember me when she's rich and famous  :-)

So, once again I would like to thank you all very much for your care and concern and say please don't worry  I will take more water with it next time I promise....I've learnt my lesson now  :-)

Normal service will return by Funday Monday morning  :-)  :-)

Slow but sure....

The swelling is now settling down on my eye and I could actually see through it first thing this morning....it's not so good now cos it has ointment in it :-( The soreness has nearly all gone now thankfully so I guess the antibiotics are doing their job. Doubt I could still see well enough to do my sewing but it's not stopped me crocheting :-) I normally say to Twiglet...."I can shorten trousers with my eyes closed"....well, I actually nearly can :-) :-) The bit I struggled with is the unpicking first so that's why I've needed Twiglet [We make a brilliant team]. Crocheting and Knitting is what I normally do while watching telly so I don't need both eyes for that normally. :-)

Thanks again to all you caring bloggers. I'm certain all your positive vibes has helped the healing process.

I have just found the most gorgeous little bear give away and thought I would share it with you. You will find Sammy at http://www.binglebears.com/2010/05/my-anniversary-giveaway.html

So far so good.....

I'm being a really good girl and am putting my ointment in 4 times a day even though it stings and blurs my vision for about an hour after. I've had my wonderful assistant here this morning helping me to clear the urgent work and now have no plans to sew until after the weekend so that my eye gets a proper rest. 4 days off wahooooooooooo :-)

I would just like to say a really special thank you to my wonderful sister and to all of you thoughtful, caring bloggers for all your kind thoughts and prayers for my speedy recovery.....I'm not sure it's wishful thinking on my behalf but it actually does feel a little less sore this afternoon so your magic is working. Thank you to you all. Big hugs from me.

Thank you one and all...

I've been awake off and on all night listening the the gales blowing outside and suffering the cramps going on inside. The antibiotics are far from kind on the tummy but hopefully they are doing their job. I have switched on my computer to find I am totally overwhelmed with kindness and good vibes. Bless you all. Even my son has let the world know he loves me [not that I doubted it for one minute] :-) I am one very lucky girl. I'm certain with all the good vibes I will feel much better very soon [I really hope so]. I sat felting last night and will introduce you to the fairy bearies later. They are sooooo cute so well worth the wait. Watch this space.............
