Here we are at the weekly round up of the things that made us smile....and there's been lots thankfully.
We went to Wellington at the weekend to watch Sam singing a solo during the switching on the Christmas lights celebrations...he confidently went up on the stage and sang beautifully. We are so very proud of him and it's so lovely to watch him grow and develop.
His twin sister, Lexi has had some more proffesional photos taken...aren't they fab. She really loves her dancing and now dances with an older group of girls.
We enjoy the time we now spend with these two each week....here they are showing us their new coats :-)
I seem to have found lots of funnies this week [some are a bit saucy so I hope they don't offend]. I hope they make you smile and you will leave me a little message before linking up to your own smiles below.
Hi all. It's been a busy week here for me so I've spent many hours in my sewing room....it's been very wet and much colder so it was probably the best place to be and I love keeping busy.
These pair are now teenagers and this week have registered with an agent so their world could now go from strength to strength with their dancing/acting/singing. It's such an exciting time for them both and they make us so very proud.
The only other thing I have to share with you are my funnies...and there are lots. I hope you find something here to smile about and you will leave me a little message before linking up to your own smiles below.
It's been another week filled with smiles here at Sewing by Annie's.
It was Theo's 8th birthday on the 7th and here are a couple of photos from his birthday celebrations....it appears the big boy enjoyed it as much as the little boys :-)
Here's the twins proudly showing me their latest certificates....Lexi for her dancing and Sam for his singing. The give us so much to smile about...so very proud of them.
They will become teenagers on 20th of this month...where has that time gone?
I have found lots of funnies this week....this poem seems to have so many things right. :-)
There seems a funny to suit everyone this week.. I hope I've left you smiling and you will now link up to your own smiles below.
Hello all. You managed very well without me over the last couple of weeks. I've tried to read your posts but did't manage to leave comments...sorry.
We had a wonderful week away in a lovely bungalow Norfolk [just rather too far to tow the caravan all that way]. The sun shone every day and if anything it was too hot. We enjoyed exploring the area, had a trip on paddle boat on the Broads and enjoyed many walks with Milly. We ate out every day, made easy because so many places over there are dog friendly and Milly enjoyed being fussed by everyone we met. Here's a few photos...
We had Sam and Lexi for the day on Wednesday and they asked to do a bit of sewing.....did I need asking twice?
They set to and chose the fabric they wanted to make a little frog out of and pinned on their patterns. They cut them out and followed instruction well, using three of my sewing machines to make their frogs....a really special time was had by all and they were so proud of themselves with their finished frogs.
They lead such busy lives now so it was so lovely to be able to have quality time with them both and make special memories.
Wednesday evening our son, Mark, messaged to see if we would like a visitor....and of course we said yes please.
It made us all giggle when he turned up wearing the exact same tshirt as his dad and when he put his glasses on to use his laptop I just had to take a photo :-)
Of course it wouldn't be Friday without a few funnies, and this week I seem to have found lots so hope you have a good giggle at some of these.
I hope you have all had a good week. I am looking forward to visiting you all this week [and leaving comments!!].
Another catch up of the smiles from the week and I have a few pics to share with you.
The twins seem to be going from one achievement to another at the mo and they make us to proud...
Sam took his Grade 3 Musical singing exam a few weeks ago and this week he got his results....he got Distinction!!!
So very proud of him.
He had also been for auditions for a part in Nativity the Musical and has been given two of the main parts in both of the teams so will be in all 6 of the shows and is even singing a solo...think I may need my tissues when we go to watch him.
Both Sam and Lexi were accepted for a course at BOA [Creative, Digital and Performing Arts Academy] in Birmingham, they are there this week and really enjoying the experience. Lexi is dancing and Sam is Acting. They will be putting on a show tonight for family and friends to watch so I'm sure we will hear all about it.
Of course, before I go I have a few funnies to share with you that I hope will make you smile.
This one made me chuckle.
I hope to have more smiles to share with you next week. I hope you will link to your smiles below.
Hello all. I'm so sorry I was away last week....but it wasn't of my choosing. My internet was down and boy did I miss it.....thankfully it's all fixed now and we have been offered a month free as compensation for the poor quality we had had since the installation.....So now I'm smiling again :-)
I'm sharing a couple of pics I had ready for last week and this week's smiles...
This has to make you smile....it certainly has had me smiling.
I love the bright red colour of my amaryllis...Thanks Shell xx
Mark, Gina and the boys went to West Midland Safari park in the half term holidays and shared a few photos with me....Louie wasn't impressed with Bluey :-) :-)
Sam had to make his outfit to go back to school with....he was to be a Fyrd which was the name given to the army of Harold Godwinson.....it was made up of freeman or paidmen who would fight for the King of short durations and you usually had to supply your own weapons. This was to be used in the Battle of Hastings....and yes I did have to look it up :-)
I just love how creative he is and how hard he works.
Lexi loves Sushi and she even likes to make her own....I prefer my fish cooked lol.
We had little visitors at the weekend and Louie was really facinated in how his Grandad was fitting the ironing board to the top of my new trolley with hinges.....I'm sure he will be just like his Grandad and Daddy who turn their hand to anything.
Theo was keen to learn what stitches he could sew on my sewing machine and even learnt how to type in and write his name on it :-)
He next wants to learn how to make a tricky marble maze....watch this space :-)
Of course it wouldn't be a Friday without a few funnies...I hope something here makes you chuckle and you will leave me a little message before linking up to your own smiles below.
Week 360? That's a lot of smiles isn't it? Thanks to all who join in every week...you really do make the world a happier place.
I've had another happy week filled with smiles thankfully and have a few I can share with you...
Lulu is all packed up here ready to go on a skiing trip with her school....she left last Saturday and, from what I've heard, she's been having a wonderful time.
The twins have been taking it in turns to cook tea this week and love to send me pics of the progress....It all looks so yummy.
Last night we went to watch Sam in his school perfomance of Matilda....it was really brilliant. I always love to see young people putting their hearts into their acting/singing.
Our garden is full of promise of what's to come...there are bulbs shooting up everywhere. I love this time of year.
Of course I also have a few funnies so share with you.
Please leave me a little message so I know you've called in and, if you can, please link up to your smiles below.
I'm a little later today....I forgot to write it and automatically publish it last night so I'm up at silly o'clock this morning to write it [because I have a very full day sewing today and can't do it later].
It's been another manic week here at Sewing by Annie's but I have had lots of smiles on the way.
We went to watch Lexi and Sam performing in Nativity the Musical at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury on Friday night....had to buy the programme of course because they were in it :-)
The show was amazing and made even more so when your grandchildren are in it. It was Sam's first time on the big stage [Lexi has been living the dream for a couple of years now] and it is really lovely to see their confidence grow.
Tuesday saw me going to an opticians appointment and needing new glasses....over £300!! Not something to smile about really but following that I have had enough work in to pay for them....it never fails to amaze me how this often happens to me.
Later in the day I had my Diabetic MOT and they are very pleased with my Diabetes now....losing over 3 stone has really helped.
Little Louie is growing fast and this week he's been to a photo shoot so I thought I would share a few of the gorgeous photos with you. He's at such a lovely age now and seems to be changing every time we see him.
Of course it wouldn't be a Friday without a few funnies. I hope you've all had a good week and have something you can link up at the bottom of the page to share with us.
