WOYWW...

Wahoooo It's been another busy week here for me at Sewing by Annie's and I'm loving it.

I managed to find a few details on the T shirts you saw on my desk last week to put on the front of the 3 Memory bears I was to make and I'm rather pleased with the finished bears [and so is my customer].

I've had another bag full of factory trousers to put new zips in....my darling hubby helped by taking some of the old zips out for me and I've managed to get the new ones put in.....I made friends with the old industrial machine we bought for the job and it certainly took a lot of the pressure off my other machines.

On my desk today is some plotting and planning going on while I wait for fabrics for 9 Memory cushion covers to arrive, hopefully later today.  I'm making a quilt for the expected new baby's cot.  Requests are grey, blue and woodland animals and I'm hoping to applique some animals like the ones in the pics....watch this space as they say.
There is more fabrics on the way so got to wait til that arrives to do the designing really.

That's all from me for today....I will do my best to call round to see what you're up to this week.

Hugs,

Annie x

You’ll not have time for much desk visiting with all that work on. You must have the patience of a saint Annie doing all those zips.
Thank goodness for a project that calls for imagination. Don’t be overdoing things missus. If you’re anything like me you’ll still be getting waves of fatigue. Take care

Morning Annie. Phew! I'm exhausted just reading all you have been up to. That great big bag of trousers... I hate replacing zips in trousers - but well done you! Another 3 bears - how many now??? Hope all arrives for the cushions and the quilt.
Take care. God bless.

Well, that’s a lovely project to be starting, the animals will look fab especially in that soft colourway. Bet you can’t wait to get going…there’s just the small problem of all those zips first….blimey, that’s like painting the Firth of Forth bridge!!

That quilt is going to be rather special. Those figures are adorable.
Glad you worked out the t shirt problem and both recipient and maker were happy.
My old machine is my workhorse and I love it for the jobs I do.

I love how your Memory bears turned out - especially the wolf, it's so clever how you got the legs perfectly aligned on the bears legs (if that makes sense!). With all your projects going on it sounds like life is never dull for you!
Hope you have a lovely week,

I always love the bears but these are brilliant the way you've used the fabric. There must be a problem with those trousers, there's no way all those zips should need replacing, they are lucky you're around to help. Thanks for the visit to mine and wishing you a great woyww. Hugs, Angela 16x

I can see why your customer was happy with the bears; they are wonderful! What a great quilt project. It is always fun at the beginning to get everything together and planning it. Well, I have been gone for several years, but I am back.. :) Happy Day!

Oh Annie, I think the baby's quilt is going to be beautiful. The drawings are fab. I love applique. Did deserves a medal. There's not much worse than stitch ripping out old zips, except maybe putting new ones in. Glad you've made friends with the industrial machine, it saves a lot of potential damage to your precious new ones. Have a great week. Hugs, Ellie x #21

Oh argh and Lordy, the thought of all those zips having to be put in really fills me with dread, thank goodness you love your job! As soon as people discover I sew a bit or have a sewing machine, I have to get in quickly with the ‘I don’t do alterations or repairs’ line, oh the stress. You are a marvel. memory bears look very dandy, and I’m loving the woodland creatures theme, those outlines are really cute!
