WOYWW...

It's a desk with a difference for me this week.  I've been getting messy so here's a look at what I've been doing....

Yes I've been doing some lino cutting and printing for a couple of designs of Christmas cards.

The designs were taken from ideas I found on the good old Pinterest.  I've not done and lino cutting or printing for years so it was lovely to have a play.

Here they are drying before being mounted onto cards.

I think I prefer the little houses to these but we will see what they are like when mounted up and finished.

But mostly this week I've been sat suffering a flare up of my arthritis in my left hip, dosed up with Paracetamol and Nurofen and sitting on a heated pad to ease the pain so I've been doing a bit of knitting.
I just grabbed a pair of needles, some wool and a fairly easy pattern to keep my mind off the aches.....I'm not saying it worked but I guess it helped.

So that's it from me for this week.  I will do my best to call in at yours to say hello but please forgive me if I don't do a lot of blog hopping this week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Sorry to hear about your sore hip, Annie. I bought an electric heat pad and I find it soothes my back when it flares up. I like the nativity card but both are lovely. I'm drowning in too many things on the go just now but soon my voluntary classes will finish and I'll maybe do some housework. Keep warm and keep on knitting. Catriona

Blimey, I haven't done Lino printing since school! I like the results, particularly the houses, they'll make great cards! How lovely to have a play just with something completely different. I made a beaded tree decoration at WI yesterday and really enjoyed it.
And you can come anytime and play in my craft room! Just not before Christmas, as I have two sets of folk coming to stay already, lolol!!

I've never heard of Lino cutting, googled it and followed a step by step. WOW, I love the 2 images you have used. I too like the little buildings. I too hope you feel better, i've had a neck/shoulder issue for a few weeks and just starting to comfortably turn my neck. Weather related also. #17 Have fun

Loving the lino cut designs, particularly the little houses. Hoping the arthritis settles down soon. My Mum started taking apple cider vinegar (for something else) back in the summer and she thinks it has helped hers.

What a cute little stocking! I find (when I'm in pain) doing something like knitting really helps to take the mind off the pain. I love your lino cut little houses - looking forward to seeing the finished card! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #27

Aw, Annie, am so sorry you’ve got the ouchies. Not fair...and sitting still makes one seize up horribly, so its no great help on all the other parts is it!! Hope the flare up is easing now, meanwhile keep taking the pills. Love the Lino cuts..=both of them actually, clever you.

Sorry about hour hip flare up - I have been nursing a bad back due to card making. Get's me every time I spend a long time at my desk - wrong height I think.
Do hope you are starting to feel better by now - no Chinese doctors near you? I swear by mine and will be visiting hi again and again as and when necessary.
Love the little houses, I am not a lino cutter - that was my worse favourite set of lessons I had to teach. A pocketful of plasters was necessary - and that was for me! Only kidding. You would get 20 out of 20 from me for yours.
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me - Neet 8 xx
