WOYWW....

Here we are again at our Wednesday 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours' blog post for the week.  If you still don't know what it's all about then please pop over to our Queen of snoop's blog where you will find the details and maybe you will join us.....it's a lot of fun and there really are some wonderfully talented folk out in this world we live in.

So?  You're here to see my desk aren't you?

It's that time of year when I have to get my books up to date ready to fill in my tax forms so in between my sewing jobs I've been busy with my records....not my fav job but needs must.

I have b****** curtains to shorten.  You know just how much I love curtains don't you?  As I said about book work....needs must lol

My knitting has been taking shape....just got the hood to finish knitting now.
I went with Mark and Gina on Sunday to see the latest scan on the expected little family member.....lots of oooohs and awwwws.  It's so lovely to see the little one moving, kicking and waving before it's born.

As I've nearly finished the little hoodie I'm knitting I needed to be sure I didn't run out of wool so this is the batch of yarns I've bought to get knitting with....all unisex colours cos we don't know what this one will be.....nice though aren't they?

That's all from me for today....we are busy wallpapering the living room now so I don't get a lot of spare time for crafting.  Please leave me a little message to let me know you've called by and I will do my best to pop over to yours when I can....if you have google+ I do read your posts but am unable to leave you a comment....sorry.
Hugs,
Annie x

Nip over to mine yesterday Annie you'll love my bl...y curtains haha.
You and Julia have both given me a fit of the vapours today mentioning year ends and tax returns. I've got two foot of bl...y filing to do before I can even pick a pen up to start mine.
Have a good week

I hate shortening curtains - in fact I have two rooms with curtains I've made and never finished - they drape artistically all over the floor and I tuck the frayed ends in - they are a 'one day I will.....' job!
The little cardi is just gorgeous and how lovely for you being involved in the scan and seeing the little one before he/she arrives.
Hope you have a good week and get both the tax and the curtains done!!

Gosh Annie, wish I had half of your energy. How wonderful to be able to go and see the scan for yourself - what an amazing thing technology is these days.
Have a good week.

How sweet of them to include you in the scan....ah how exciting, and waht a fab reason to buy more wool! I read the comments from Lynn, she makes me laugh! And Twiglet too, bless her. I think I would hate shortening curtains without hanging them too!

Hi Annie, love those wool shades, and that little hoodie jacket is great. I smiled at your feelings about curtains, when we first moved in here, we needed new curtains for the living room- a square bay, and the ceilings are really high. I nearly died when I saw how much the curtains would cost! So I bought some fabulous embossed velvet fabric, from the market in Birmingham, £1.50 a yard, and made my own. Bought lining at a pound a yard too. Dear gods, they were a struggle! The height meant they were almost too long to lay out on the floor. Never again, I decided, lol. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #9 xx

Tax returns......bleurgh, shivers...hate the blooming things. Just like curtain shortening, hate that too....and sewing in yarn ends. Funny what we find annoying, huh?! How lovely to see the scan of your future grandee, that yarn will be perfect for a project 💕😃💖

Not sure which I'd like to do least, shorten curtains or fill in my tax return! I'm determined not to be last minute this year. Famous last words!

I don't think anyone likes doing curtains. When the weather gets hotter, I shall have to sort out curtains too. I have a pile in the spare bedroom and haven't yet looked to see which ones fit....
The yarn for the baby stuff is gorgeous. Very subtle, not so in your face. I like it.
All the best with the dreaded tax return, the curtains and the wall papering.
Happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting,
Have a great week ahead,
Blessings,
Lisca

Hi Annie, so Julia isn't the only one sorting out the paperwork for the dreaded tax returns today! Glad I'm done with all that now ... one of the real benefits of being retired :) Beautiful floral design on those horrible curtains. It's good that you got that dreaded job done before lunch ... means you can enjoy the rest of the day :) Love the little jacket in progress and the pretty balls of yarn that are ready and waiting to be knitted up too - the aqua is such a pretty colour. Have a great week, despite the bookkeeping and wallpapering. Hugs, Ellie x #41
