WOYWW...

Yes it's THAT time of the week again.  :-)  It's that day when very many folk link up over at Julia's and then make several cuppas while they visit their blogging friends who live all around the world to see what they have been up to creatively during the week.  It's a snoopers paradise :-) I love my Wednesdays.  My name is Annie and I'm a desk snooper.  :-)

Do you remember that gorgeous fabric I bought last week?  Well,...... prepare yourselves for a shock.....I've been and gone and cut it up!!!

I saw a fab idea for a desk storage for all my tools while I was doing a search in Pinterest.  I liked the idea but decided to adapt it to suit my needs so redesigned it a little......as you do :-)

Here's the proof.....all my pieces have been carefully pressed, measured and cut to size :-)

See I do brave it now and then and actually cut into some of my gorgeous fat quarters.  :-)

The main pockets and body of the tool holder has been sewn and turned right sides out and I've just pinned the pin cushion, that hold it together when standing, into place.

Note the poppy fabric had to be reversed so that the poppies are the right way up when standing. :-)

I've then slid the cardboard pieces inside and top stitched them in place and hey presto!

Here's a side view so you can see the finished tool holder standing.

And here's a front view so you can see the pockets where my tools will sit.

I'm rather chuffed with the finished results....what do you think?

Thanks for popping by again this week.  Please leave me a little hello message so I know you've called and I will pop over to yours as soon as my little twinnie playmates will allow.
Hugs,
Annie x

Friday rolled around and I didn't realize it was Friday until Saturday afternoon! Truly. Now it's Wednesday and I can't believe I forgot what day it was AGAIN. I'm a ditz.

I may be a ditz, but I sure like that sewing holder. If I had as many scissors and cutters as you, I'd be tempted to make one. It is awesomely awesome!!! It's obvious I'm not playing, but had to check in because I'm busy making an altered book for a friend and have completely lost track of time, even with the loss of an hour last Sunday. I hope to be back soon on Fridays.

I see what you mean, Annie. Isn't it funny how we save these visions of lovliness until just the right project. You will be able to admire that fabric every time you use your organiser.
Thanks for visiting earlier.

I don't know what chuffed means (is it good or bad?). I do think this is so cute and clever. Is it also a holder for your tablet? Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #48

Hi Annie, I don't suppose there's a cure for being a desk snooper ... not that any of us deskers need one :) Love your tool holder - lovely fabric and ideal for keeping everything just handy. I would have left a comment earlier but blogger hasn't been working for me! Have a good night. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

I really like you tool holder/stand. It's even got a pin cushion! Fab! And the material is gorgeous of course. It makes one happy just to look at it.
Thank you for visiting earlier in the week and for your kind comment.
Sorry I'm so late with this but the house we were staying in in Italy didn't have internet. My son does but we were not able to go to his house as the village was/probably still is completely snowed in. Wednesday morning I went to a coffee bar that had wifi and posted my little contribution.
I'm now back home and catching up on stuff, downloading photos and keeping the washing machine going.
Have a great week,
Lisca

Hi Annie, I wonder if you could give me the link to this fab sewing tool holder. I'd LOVE to make one if you don't mind me copying and I have a challenge to do very soon. It would be ideal.
Thanks in anticipation and I hope you are having a wonderful Easter with all your lovely family. I'm going to see my Brighton lot, all on my own some in a couple of weeks.
Off to roast a leg of lamb... .
