WOYWW...

It's been a better week for us this week.  I've had my usual busy week with my family commitments but have also managed a bit of sewing too so that's what is on my desk today...

I've made a start at one of my new tops....it has 10 rows of pin tucks down the front and they take a while to get right so not something I rush.  The main body of the top is also put together now so I now just need to overlock the seams, put in the sleeves and collar and finish off and it will be job done.  :-)  Just 3 more to make then before I cut out my summer tops  :-)

I also know there will be some of you wondering how our last little dog, Rocky is getting on without his sister.  He spent several days wandering around looking for Wispa and was in need of lots of TLC so we booked him in for a pamper session on Friday and he has had a hair cut and manicure  :-)

We can now see his beautiful brown eyes again and he is really enjoying all the spoiling he's getting.

He's even pulled up one of the dog beds into my sewing room and is enjoying my company while I sew  :-)

Thanks for dropping by today.  If you leave me a little message to say you've called by I will do my best to call in at yours as soon as I get the chance.

Hugs,
 Annie x

Aaw bless Rocky, so glad he is spending time with you in your sewing room.
Your tops sound gorgeous, will we get to see them, especially the pin tucking. Believe it or not, I once made a dress with pin tucking - and I loved it. Wish I had photos to share.
Happy sewing

hello Annie. lovely fabric for your top, and those curtains are really pretty. I keep thinking about doing pin tucks on a top, but never get up the courage to do so.
Thank you for visiting my blog, and enjoy being with the twinnies today. Many blessings to you from Angela.

Oh, I'm glad Rocky (and you!) are doing ok after the loss of Wispa. Bless him, his eyes really are lovely :-)
I'm impressed with your sewing machinery..I've never used an overlocker, probably never will as I've no intention of making clothes for myself!!!

I'm glad Rocky seems OK although his eyes look very sad (now I can see them). He is looking very smart indeed after his pamper event. It's nice he's seeking your company and I'm sure you're giving him lots of TLC.
The sewing looks good. Do you do the tucking in by hand? I used to do baby dresses with a particular tucking technique and that was done by hand...(in the old days though)
Have a good week, hope the weather isn't too bad,

I'm not playing this week, but stopped by to see what you were up to. Last Friday I was so sick, I didn't even bother getting out of bed. SO sorry to read about Wispa. Rocky really DID look forlorn. So cute that he wants to be near you. They tend to do that, don't they?

Hi Annie, I am sorry to hear about your loss! Our little fur babies do tend to wrap themselves completely around our hearts don't they?! I think it is something to do with the unconditional love the bestow upon us as well as the trust they put in us. I love Rocky's new hair cut, most handsome! :D I am drooling over your overlock machine right now, and wow, pintucks, you are brave! LOL!
Hugs and see you next week,

Your sewing table looks lovely. I'm guessing you have both an overlock and a coverlock? I have them both in the same machine, but it is hidden in a box, because I don't do as much sewing now as a few years ago.

Animals have the gift of living in the here and now, which means missing and wishing don't mean the same as for us. Happy WOYWW!

Hi Annie - Rocky is a stunner with his new looks. Glad to hear he's beginning to get used to life now. It's so hard for all of you. Our Rosie drives me crazy but I know there'll be a time I'll really miss her. That top sounds very complicated - rather you than me! Hugs to you and Rocky, Chris # 11

So sorry to read about Wispa, it is so very heartbreaking when you lose one of your furbabies. Hope Rocky settles into the new routine, he is obviously smart enough to know where you be most of the time by putting his bed in that spot!!

Popping back to say that, no, I don't have any extra hours in the week - it's just that, I don't actually do a lot of other things - like much housework. I do the essentials, then get on with being creative. Must get around to making a valentine card this week for You-Know-Who. Also been given the task of re-doing the church website - so that will take me beyond my comfort zone as I learn a new webhost site.... If I suddenly go grey that will explain it. Also, of course, I don't actually go out very far, very often, as I am here for John...
Take care. God bless.

Hi Annie sorry for being so late.
Love the new top, pin tucks are tricky...but effective when done well.
Can't help wondering what the first machine is on your table, recognise the sewing machine and overlocker (which I have too) but not sure about the first one,...???
Happy very belated WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x
