WOYWW....

There is always something different here at Sewing by Annie's to share with you.  This week is no exception.

I have been picking the brains of several of my blogging card making experts....you know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I am helping to make the wedding stationery for my son's wedding next August.  The design they want was rather more complicated than the invitations I made for my two daughter's weddings so it's been a bit of a challenge.  My daughter- in - law to be Gina is a bit of a perfectionist [of course she is cos she is marrying my son and he's the best!!  :-)  ] so it is important to me to get things just how she wants them.

Thought you might like to see what we have come up with so far.  They might get a bit of tweaking between now and then but we are all very happy with how they look.

This is the front.  It's a 3 fold card with a punched edge, pink ribbon trim and little punched glittery flower over the join.

Opened out you can see the floral edged perlised paper that will have the invitation details printed on it in the middle section.
On the lower section we have made a little pocketed panel for the other printed sheets to go with details of accommodation, menu etc

I say I'm not a paper crafter but even I'm rather chuffed at how they are looking so far.  What do you think?

The other thing I've been working on this week is a selection of hair clippies for little Lexi.  She needs fairly long clippies to hold back her curls but the larger ones usually come with rather large decorations on and she is just too little for a lot of them so I've made her a few more her size.  :-)

Well folks that's all I've got to share with you this week.  Hope you have enjoyed your visit and will leave me a little hello comment before popping over to Julia's to link up and join in the fun for this week if you haven't already.  I will do my best to pay you a return visit as soon as I can.
There were several blogs last week that I visited but were unable to leave comments on because of google+ so I'm sorry about that.

Hugs,
Annie x

Well, I am impressed -big time! Those invitations are lovely. So you are turning into a papercrafter? Wish I could turn into a stitcher. I really must have some time for sewing in the future.
Love those hair ornaments you have made for Lexi, your grandees are so lucky to have you.

The invites are really fabulous, stylish and classy. You've made such a great job of them and should be proud of yourself. You really must own up to being a paper crafter as well as a seamstress ( as well as other lovely things).
The hair clippies will be a great success too. I love making these as they are so quick and easy.
lots of love Jo x

ooops....where's it go!? I pressed a wrong key and it disappeared! Sorry if I repeat my self!! I wanted to say your wedding invites are brilliant!! You should be very proud of yourself. I daughter wanted vey simple cards (which I was glad of although I wanted to do more embellishments but didn't have die cuts back then! anyway google + yikes!!!!! google + is a pain! I go hunting for links because I know I used to comment but I can never find them, I've even left a message on the 'reply', but can't comment how stupid is that!!! but it didn't seem to show up! I just hate it because it wants- or already does- to know so much, I mean they already know where were live and show people on google maps, they know our names, all our 'nicknames' our birthdays, our mothers maiden names, where we went to school, what we had for breakfast, what more do they want? And the google adverts that appear with emails... they are all conected to what we write! I had loads of double glazing ads when I shouwed off my new french doors! now I'm getting, we'll publish your book ads.... creepy! it's all a bit big brother is watching you! no more moaning!! Happy WOYWW!! Lyn #38ish

Gosh Annie, for someone who's 'not a paper crafter' these are brilliant. Actually I think you do yourself an injustice because you clearly are an excellent paper crafter. I do hope your daughter in law to be is impressed and that you manage to produce them successfully in large numbers. A word of warning, it won't stop with the invitations, she'll want place names and Thank you cards and favour boxes all matching. You might as well give up hope of seeing your sewing machine again until after the wedding.
Enjoy

Annie, those invites are beautiful - even a space for the directions etc., which normally just get stuffed into the envelope!! Great work - and now - no false modesty allowed - you ARE a paper crafter!!!
Have a great week.

Hi Annie, I can't join in this week but I'm taken the opportunity to visit your desk while I can. Love your invitations and may just pinch the layout for my granddaughter's wedding ... it's not until 2015 so I've plenty time to practice :) The clips for Lexi are gorgeous, she is going to love wearing them. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

These are far, far better than ANY THING I could ever come up with. I'd be pleased, too. The entire design is perfect. Happy very belated WOYWW from #2.

I nearly forgot! Those hair clips are PERFECTION!
