WOYWW...

Good morning to all you wonderful blogging friends who call by each week to peep into a little of my world and leave me such lovely comments.

This week I've been mostly ....

....looking after these two little monkeys.  Their other set of Grandparents have been on holiday so I've had a double duty this week.  [such a hardship I know....we have loved every minute  :-)]
As you can see I had a little helper on Friday and Monday so I could keep the shop open too....her daughter calls her a fair weather Granny though cos she didn't change any nappies  while she was here!  :-)

As you can imagine my sewing has taken a place on the back boiler this week [happily] so today I will be catching up with clearing some of the sewing mountain.

I have however managed to free machine the wings for my dragonflies...they are only sat on top of their bodies here to check for size.

How's this for an amazing car boot find folks?  Jo is always on the look out for me to replenish my toys for the Grandbabies to play with and this week she has really come up trumps.  It's all immaculate...and a real bargain it was too.  Thanks Jo.

The last thing I have to show you today is the visitor who few into our patio door this week!  It's a beautiful sparrow hawk and I'm pleased to say that after being rather stunned he rested for a few minutes and then flew away happily [but probably with a headache!].....that will teach him for trying to catch my little birds eh?

That's all from me for today....more pics to come on Friday  :-)
Thanks for calling by and leaving me such fab comments.
Hugs,
Annie x

Busy keeps us reasonably healthy, I think... We have the same problem with birds seeing the hills and sky reflection in the windows and fly into them. We have lost 2 beautiful Wompoo Pigeons and a good few others too. I hate the sound of them hitting the glass so I race to see if they are OK. Most are. xo

Lovely post as always, and the little'uns look so cute... I wish I still had one sitting either side of me!
Great charity shop find by Jo... she is a girl after my own heart. I took a wooden castle , moat, drawbridge, ramparts and 2 knights over to Germany for the Fraulein last visit.... £4 it cost me!!!
Lots of love Jo x

The photo with the children is adorable and those dragonflies are just too beautiful for words! WOW! Just came over from Twiglet's place, so glad the Sparrowhawk survived. We had a dove do that and it left a perfect impression of his face on our window, it was so fantastic I didn't want to wash it off, lol. Happy WOYWw, Anne x #47

Those little ones are adorable. Enjoy the time and your boot sale find was great. In a few weeks we'll see lots of unusual birds flying south, always a hurry to get the bird book out and find out what they are.
Enjoy the week and Happy WOYWW

Loved the photograph of the twins, was that Jo with them?
Gorgeous wings on those dragonflies, look great when you enlarge the photo and that find by Jo was terrific. I never find things like that.
Glad the bird was ok but sad that he comes to catch the others, I get annoyed with the magpies around our garden as they torment the other birds. Beautiful to look at but so cruel.
Thanks for sharing with us again this week - Lot of love, Neet 84 xx

Hi Annie we too have been on grandparent duties. Yesterday we had Ella our eldest granddaughter for the day. Her mummy was at school yesterday but Ella didn't start until today. Had a wonderful time with her and today we met her out of school at one o clock. She has started school today but they are doing 9 to 1 for the first eight days. Mummy, daddy and little sis took her this morning but mummy was at school until 3 so we collected her- such a joy. She came out very happy and excited. Happy WOYWW Anne x #122

lovely post as usual, Annie. I never tire of seeing those two little cuties - they are growing so quickly :)

We have the same problem with birds flying at our windows - we even tried putting decals on at one time but that didn't help - but we only get small birds and the odd crow, nothing as big as a sparrow hawk. I always imagine that they have a headache too.

Happy WOYWW, hope you have a lovely week. Elizabeth x #90

Hi Annie, sorry I haven't been around much, kids back to school now, but it also means the financial new year starts at work yuk!!! Friday smiles, they are so cute, holding hands and laughing. Great car boot find from your sister, the toys look fab. Oh and I had to laugh at your pulled up socks lol, I don't blame you though they seem to be nasty this year, or family has also had a right dose of bites that swell and blister, my son Brad had four on his back the other day, it was so frustrating for him as he couldn't itch. I reckon alot of folks have probably spent a fortune on bite stuff. The beetroot chutney looks lovely and yummy beans as well, bet they taste beautiful. I actually can't wait for it to get colder for a good Sunday dinner with lots of veg, during the summer we seem to eat mostly salads. I really really like the dragonflys, can't wait to see them when their finished. I am also late this week as I have been spending most evenings and all weekend clearly some of my craft room out as I am fed up with bits all over the place, managed to clear 10 bags out now all of card, papers etc which have gone to my mate for her little one and for nursery, got so much more but the biggest bits have been done so its only small bits that I can do in the evening. Happy Woyww :-) Kerry xxx
