If you have ever been paint balling you will know how I have felt this week. Life seems to be throwing everything at me at the mo. Everything from emergency ambulances for an elderly friend with a broken leg and visiting her in hospital [45 minutes each way!] to babysitting my granddaughters [treasured memories] and many other family commitments. All that, along with sewing, sewing and yet more sewing [including making my outfit for next Saturday night] and yesterday I had a room full of wedding and bridesmaid's dresses to steam [sorry but I can't share these with you yet]. We have the theatre tomorrow night to see an ELO tribute band, a Wedding evening party to go to on Saturday night, our baby Granddaughter's christening to go to on 1st August and a holiday to get ready for. To say the least it's been a little hectic :-)
Saying all that I still have sewing on my 'to do' rail [too boring to show you]....
......and two really pretty posh frocks to alter. For all those who think I make the wedding dresses can I please correct you. I do not make the wedding/bridesmaid's dresses. I just make them fit by altering them. [yes, at times this virtually means taking them apart and starting again but I do not actually make the dresses.
I've been given some really pretty new coloured balls of crochet cotton by Twiglet to make some flowers with. I am enjoying experimenting with this and have even made a couple of double flowers in two colours. I had a lot of interest in my other crocheted flowers but as yet none of those who asked me to make them for them has put an order in so these latest ones will probably be used for one of our creations for the shop.
I have also been knitting a baby blanket with some really colourful random wool and thought you might like to share.
Well, my friends that's a peep into my busy life this week. If you'd like to look at other busy crafting desks then please pop over to Julia's blog and join in the WOYWW fun.

Well, you sure know how to pack things in! Have a great Wednesday.
love the flowers, the dress is gorgeous and the blanket is so lovely... I love ELO so have a bop to Mr Blue Sky for me hun x
I promise not to comment on the dresses (grin). I knew you didn't make the wedding gowns and I realize you didn't make those dresses, either. That's why I'm only going to talk about the lovely wool blanket that is giving me the woolies right now in my 40C weather. Glad you can work with the stuff. It's a lovely and colorful blanket, though.
Glad you don't have to get all steamed up today!!!
Love the baby blanket. Years ago I knitted a jumper for my son from wool excatly like that.

Wow! You've been busy with all that sewing and crocheting! I made a journal cover once with crochet flowers on it and some embroidery. Came out really nice. Patsy from

Good grief Annie, you will need the holiday! Perhaps you should clear this lot of work and put the 'closed for holiday' sign up a couple days early so you can attend to yourself.
I am the owner of some crochet flowers and I love them, perfect size and beautiful colours.
Oh those crochet flowers look amazing!

Well Annie you sure are such a busy bee! It must make the week just fly by!
Lovely as always to see such a great variety of handicrafts on show at yours.
Oh you clearly have the patience of a Saint to alter items, I'd rather make them from scratch!
Hope you enjoy all of your various preparations and especially your holiday!

What a great blog - it actually makes a really nice change to see other "craft" other than cardmaking, scrapbooking etc.
I've been doing some sewing myself recently - not nearly as nice as your projects though - stinky horse rugs!!
Anyway, enjoyed seeing what you are up to on WOYWW.
Tracy :)x
Love the flowers

Phew - how do you fit it all in? I see you are from Shropshire - me too originally. I'm from Bridgnorth - anywhere near you? - Jacqueline xx.
I'm full of admiration for you as I know you are skilled in making the wedding dresses fit properly, and that makes all the difference in the world! I do like the double coloured flowers, I did some to go on a pair of mittens once and thought if I had more time I could get quite carried away with different designs and petal shapes. xx
beautiful makes!
what a busy time you have been having!
love tina x

I have weeks like that sometimes, funny how everything comes at once isn't it?! I'm always jealous when I look at your blog as I am hopeless at sewing, despite the fact my grandmother was a seamstress! (Obviously not hereditary sadly)
