What a day.....and latest update :-)

I just wanted to say what a really wonderful day we all had yesterday but mine kept getting better and better :-)

We had a surprise visit from Paula yesterday. I didn't know she was coming til the night before so it was a very special surprise for me. I was like a child at Christmas. Her darling OH and her 2 sons came with her and what a lovely bunch they all are. She brought the body bag full of contents that she blogged about yesterday and we all had a really good laugh about it all. I will at some point work my magic on the little bear for her and reassemble her. They came for lunch and we chatted and laughed and chatted and laughed and chatted and laughed :-) We all went to a local pub on their way home for some tea and we waved goodbye to them around 8 o clock. What a really fab day we all had. She was every bit as lovely as I imagined and I was really thrilled to see how well she is recovering from her major surgery [though I doubt she will suffer today!]

I bet you are all thinking 'Aw how lovely'. Well, of course yes it was, but I have to add it didn't end there for me. While we were all eating tea I had a phone call from my daughter to say she was in labour. She went into hospital about 11 o clock and gave birth to little S at 3.27 this morning. She weighed in at 7lb 10oz and is just perfect [although I am just a little biased]. Needless to say I haven't slept well for a couple of nights so please excuse any typing errors.
Update.......She was to be called Sadie but the new Mum and Dad have decided she didn't look like a Sadie when she arrived and she will now be called Louise Amy.....What a lovely name eh? I've had my cuddles and even had the pleasure of changing her first dirty nappy [yes the midwife in me is still there and it really was a pleasure :-) ].

Oh wow what a REALLY fab day you had yesterday! I was excited reading it, it;s so lovely to hear some good news and if Paula is the lady that has recently gone through major surgery then I am amazed that she was even able to laugh so much yesterday!!

Oh I did laugh at that photo of the murderer in his prison cell, he looked soooo full of remorse :(

I do hope that Dr Wipso is able to work her magic on poor ted, please send her my love!

CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your darling little grand-daughter, she is beautiful!! Oh lots of Nanny hugs today then!!

What a fab start to the weekend for you all!

We had the most awesome day yesterday... the pleasure was all mine at meeting Wipso AND Twiglet... I got to nose at their craft creations, sit and hand dumf in the craft/sewing room, I had an absolute cracking time. Wipso's OH - Dod was there too - what a lovely man.

I am so made up that I got to share Annie's day with her yesterday and got to meet two lovely bloggers. The weather was perfect too. And to top a lovely day off - this beautiful little one arrived. When Annie says it was like Christmas for her, she wasn't joking in the slightest. She was literally skipping from foot to foot (despite her poorly knee) when we pulled up. We have each other the biggest hug (minding my surgery area of course) - it was literally like we'd known each other for years.

Thank you Annie for being such a wonderful and generous hostess - both yours and Dod's hospitality was second to none.

Congratulation again on the birth of Lousie Amy, she really is a lucky baby to be born to such a loving and genuine family.

Well, what can I say?
I'm delighted you and Paula had a wonderful time together and glad too that she was feeling well enough to a)make the journey and b)endure all the laughing!
Isn't it wonderful when bloggers can actually meet for real and consolidate the friendships made online.
I've just been chatting on the phone to my friend Ikki, whom we met last year when they came to Southampton before embarking on a cruise. The world of blogging is just great isn't it!
Congratulations to all concerned on the birth of your darling new granddaughter.... and a big welcome to Louise Amy!
Wonderful!
