This week's smiles....week 420

It's been one of those week when we have had 'every season in one day' sort of days.

I snapped a pic of the lawn covered with hail.  We had thunder, rain, a rainbow and even blue skies in the evening....all on the same day!....it could only be England.

We did manage to enjoy a drink while waiting to pick up an Indian for tea one evening...it was lovely until the sun disappeared behind the clouds and then it went really cold....but we both enjoyed the drink none the less.

This is a photo that Phoebe sent me this week.  She's been doing optical illusions in art and I really loved how she has drawn her hand...yes it is all on a flat piece of paper!  Proud Nanny Annie moment. :-)

That's all from me this week.  I did go out in the garden but the weather has knocked a lot of blooms off and many of the plants have suffered in the cold wind and rains we've been having sadly.

Please share you smiles by linking them at the bottom.
Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 72

Here we are at yet another Friday when I share my smiles for the week and allow you to link up your smiles so we can all share a little happiness with our blogging friends.  Thank you to all of those that joined in again last week and although she featured in last week's post I am featuring that much older sister of mine's post from last week cos she shared her 'great tits' with us [it's a family failing!!].  We both really love our birds and both have wicked senses of humour so I have to admit it did make me chuckle at the though of some guy searching for great tits on the web and coming across her photos of the bird in the bird bath :-)  Thanks Jo...love you to bits x

This week I am sharing some really good news in that after a very long wait we hope to have real movement on the house scene.  Our buyers have now managed to sort out their mortgage so it's all stations go....of course it will only move at the speed the estate agents and solicitors will move at but trust me when I say I will drive them on :-)

My happy snaps are.....

This one of the twinnies in their personalised cars...what cool dudes they look eh?

And a huge thank you to their Aunty Amy and Uncle Dave for the printed number plates :-)

Also this very explicit drawing Phoebe did of her Mummy, Daddy and little brother romping nude in a field in the sunshine.  What a giggle.  Amy says she was thankful she did the drawing at home and not at school cos she really didn't want anyone thinking this was what they actually do!!!

Of course I say there is never smoke without fire :-)  .....that is unless we are talking about a child with a very vivid imagination of course.  :-)

Well There you go...I've shown you my smiles for this week....now show me yours.....please.

Hugs,

Friday's smile.....

It's been a busy week for me but it's all so exciting.  I have put this post to upload automatically as today will be spent whizzing around doing all the jobs you can't do til the day before a wedding.  I have so many moments in my life that make me smile and I'm determined to share them with you.

We babysat for Amy at the end of last week and here you can see little Steve concentrating hard whilst pushing a chair along on the wooden floor and walking behind!

Here is Phoebe doing a happy dance to some music.  :-)
She is growing up so quickly now and is such a big helper with her little brother and sister.

Here are two drawings that she did for us that I wanted to record cos they were on an etch a sketch type board that wiped clean.

This is her house and stick man [she struggles to say 'st' so that comes out as a 'd' but we knew what she meant!].

And these are some flowers she drew for me.

Not bad for a 3 year old eh?  :-)

Saturday night we babysat for Shell and Brent to have a last chill out evening together before all the excitement of this week.  Lexi likes to pull the cushions off the settee and to lie her head on them on the floor.  Here she is having a special moment when Granddad joined her on the floor....magical memories eh?

Hope you have enjoyed my few 'make you smile' pics this week.  Please send up lots of positive vibes for blue skies for the wedding tomorrow and I hope you all have a great weekend too.
Hugs,
Annie x
