This week's smiles.....week 342

The weeks are flying by aren't they?  There is definitely a nip in the air today and our garden is looking very Autumnal....

The fuchsias are really gorgeous at the mo but this morning there was a frost so I'm guessing their time is very limited now.  The leaves on the trees are changing colours and dropping and the two crab apple trees are heavy with beautiful rosy red fruit.....but sadly the birds don't eat them and as they drop off the tree Milly likes to nibble them and make herself poorly so I'm guessing that soon we will have to pick them off  [if anyone wants them then please shout].

I've had lots to smile about this week....
  • A weekend at Adam Henson's Farm campsite [he's the rather handsome farmer on Countryfile] in our motorhome gave us lots to smile about.  It's a really lovely site with a farm shop, restaurant and live entertainment on a Saturday night and you can go around the farm to see the rare breed animals [if you don't have a dog with you].  The only down side was the weather....it was wet wet wet....but of course there is nothing you can do about that and we go well prepared.  Sadly Adam didn't pop along to say hello.
  • My laptop had slowed so much it was really painful to use so our daughter Amy, using team viewer from her house, did a full service on it and wow it's now super speedy so I'm def smiling now as I type this [thanks Amy you're a gem...I'm so impressed and proud of you].
The last photo I'm sharing today is this one...

Yes the Lego is out and, as you can see, my darling hubby is busy making a boat using the instruction book so it really made me smile because...
  • He's really enjoying building the boat for little Theo but note Theo is nowhere to be seen in the photo [he's off to the left busy playing with one of the cars his Grandad made for him]
  • but mainly because I have evidence that a man can actually read instructions!!  It's not often you'd see this so I'm glad I captured in on film  :-) :-)
That's all from me for this week.  I hope you're all staying warm and cosy and enjoying life.  Please share your smiles by linking up below and let's all do our bit to make the world a happier place to be.

This week's smiles....week 285

Another week filled with smiles is at an end so I'm sharing a few photos of what's made me smile....

This mad pair are away on holiday and it looks like they are having a good giggle here.

Give a girl some boxes and she will give you a robot.....i love seeing children use their imaginations.

They were missing school so their mummy treated them to some new books to keep their brains working.

I really love this photo.  Theo really adores Milly and we all went for a walk around Attingham Park at the weekend.  Grandad had perched on a cut off tree trunk so of course Theo wanted to sit by him.

Last but by no means least these are the latest blooms in the wild flower area in our back garden....aren't they gorgeous?

Now I've shown you mine so why now share your smiles for the week by linking up below.

This week's smiles....week 280

I've just been checking back and do you know that I've been writing smiley posts since January 2013?  What a lot of smiles it's been, the numbers of those joining in have gone up and down over the years but even still that's an amazing amount of smiles....keep up the good work folk.  There's more than enough bad news in the world so lets do our little bit of spreading some happiness between us.

My smiles today.....

This gorgeous photo of my darling hubby with our youngest grandson, Theo.  As you can see there's a lot of love between them both and I simply love this photo.

Here's our eldest two granddaughters, Phoebe and Lulu at their Brownie camp treat for the end of the term sitting around the camp fire.

And finally for this week here's a collection of photos of the flowers in our little wild flower area that we planted for the bees and insects....and although you can't see them in the pics there has been many enjoying the blooms....these photos were taken yesterday when the temperatures had dropped a little and we even had a little rain in the morning.....you could almost hear the plants sucking up every drop that fell.

That's all from me for today.  Please leave me a little message and do you best to share a few smiles too by linking them below.

This week's smiles....week 112

Well, where does the time go?  It only seems like a day or so ago that I was posting my smiles for last week.  Many thanks to all who joined in yet again last week.  It's so good to see so many of you with such lovely smiles to share.  I know it does me good to spend a little time each week focusing on the happy moments in my life and I'm really hoping you all feel the same.

I would like to feature my 'much older' sister's blog this week.  We enjoy many smiles together as I'm sure many of you can imagine.  We both have fairly wicked senses of humour and her smile for last week certainly is one occasion when she made me chuckle.....of course I did suggest she should have ironed the creases out before snapping her pic but I'm sure none of you will have gone in for a closer look to have noticed them!  :-)  Thanks for making me chuckle Jo....love you lots and really can't wait til you get settled into your new home just 5 mins away :-)

My smiles for this week have been many....I am so blessed.  I'm sharing just a couple of them with you that I managed to get snaps of...

There was a visit by a Minion at the playschool Easter fair that my youngest daughter helped organise last Saturday.  As you can see he was a big hit with our two little granddaughters and their Grandad.  :-)  I was so very proud of all the efforts our daughter, Amy put in to organise the event and was thrilled with the huge amount of funds raised for their playschool.

Here are a few more little treasures we've found in our new back garden....a few little cowslip plants have been making me smile.

I have also snapped a few pics of some mystery plants that have popped up in the garden too.....come on all you expert gardeners out there can you help with the names of these so I can read up on what I need to do with them? [you should be able to click on the pics to get a closer look if you need to].  Are they some sort of lily maybe?

That's all from me for today.  Please snap a few of your smiles for this week and link them below so we can all share yours too.

Friday's smile...

Each Friday I do my best to find you a snap or two of what has made me smile each week and this week I have several photos to share....

The new suction dishes have arrived and work a treat.  As you can see the twins love them too.  :-)

My smiley boy, Steve, has learned to play peek a boo using a towel and is having real fun here.

Phoebe has brought home the school mascot for the week.....meet Rory the rabbit.

Rory is helping her make bread here.  :-)
...and it looks like they are both having lots of fun.

Lulu is making bread too but mummy thought there might have been more flour on the floor than in the bread dough.  :-)

And last but by no means least...It's a Granddad's job to make the new jigsaws first to make sure all the pieces are present [that was his excuse anyway  :-) ].

He certainly got pretty excited when he finished one and made me smile  :-)

Hope you have enjoyed my happy pics this week and all have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Annie x
