WOYWW....

Here we are at another fun Wednesday when we can catch up with all our creative friends from all round the world....It's my favourite day of the week.  I'm pleased to hear Julia is being sensible and resting well and is making a good steady recovery....keep it up Julia :-)

For those that don't usually pop over on a Friday to see what has made me smile during the week you might like to scroll to the post below to see the pic....I just know a lot of you will find it familiar and it will certainly make you smile :-).....and it would be good to see more of you joining in the Friday fun too....all welcome.

I am well ploughed under with sewing now so will just quickly show you my bag that is now finished..

I'm rather chuffed with how it's turned out.  It's fully lined with a zipped pocket in the one side and a pocket for my phone to go in the other side.

I have a rail full of wedding/bridesmaid/flower girl dresses [5 now finished, 3 all pinned ready to do and 2 more yet to have their fittings]

I have a rail with 6 pair trousers on needing shortening.

And I have yet more of the dreaded curtains to do...I pair needing shortening, one curtain has been cut down the middle to make a small pair of curtains with and a pair of tie backs to make.

I'm sure you will be able to imagine just how busy I'm going to be doing all this but I do promise to do my best to pop over to say hello if you leave me a little message to let me know you've called by.
Hugs,
Annie x

This week's smiles...week 71

Here we are at the end of another week of fun and games. Lots of you joined in again last week....thanks so much to each and every one of you for making the effort to snap your smiles and sharing them with us....we can never have too many smiles can we?

I am featuring my much older sister Jo's post this week with her spring harvest picture....think we have all been there :-)....it certainly made me giggle.

My pics that have made me smile this week are of my 3 little Granddaughters trying on the flower girl dresses they will be wearing for our son Mark's wedding in August......

On the left, Phoebe and Lulu on the right :-)......looks like a shortening job for Nanny Annie is required a little nearer the time in case they have a growth spurt!

And.......

Little Lexi....hers needs shortening rather more as you can see :-)

And with the added giggle of little Sam in the background with his nappy hanging out of his trousers :-)  He's a typical little boy with no waist so every time he bends down to play he loses his trousers...even if he wears a belt!!

So that just a few of the things that have made me smile this week.  Please share your smiles by linking them below and I will pop over to to pay you a visit as soon as I'm able.  Thanks for joining in the fun.

Hugs,
Annie x

Our Celebration weekend....

I just wanted to add a few pics to my blog to record the weekend of my Darling Hubby's birthday.  We always try to get all the family together to celebrate but alas this time our son Mark and his girlfriend were away on holiday skiing and Amy's husband Dave was away for another birthday celebration with his mates so couldn't join us but here is the rest of our happy family.....

This is how you get 5 little people around a table for a party  :-)  Having so many little ones  never stops us going out and they were all really well behaved.  A fun time was had by all and Granddad really loved his chocolate Hugo Hedgehog cake  :-)

Phoebe and Louise will be the two other little flower girls at Michelle's wedding in July so had to try on their dresses for fit at the weekend.

Don't they look fab in their dresses?

I just had to include this fab pic Amy sent us as a Thank you from the children for such a lovely party tea.....Aren't they just gorgeous?....I know, I know....I am a little biased  :-)
