This week's smiles...week 339

It's been another week with lots of celebrations and very many smiles so here's a few I can share with you....

Last Friday was Gina's 30th birthday and she had a meal out with family and friends [alas we were unable to join them] and this is one of the photos taken.  It's got to be one of my fav photos and makes me smile every time I look at it.

Last Friday was also the twins birthday....can you believe they are 8 already?  The time just flies.  They had a birthday party and sleep over [not that much sleeping went on!] with some of their school friends.....I'm guessing there were blue sweets eaten at some point looking at Lexi's tongue :-)

We had little Theo Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons this week because Gina had parents meetings at her school and on Wednesday we got out some crafty materials and he enjoyed making these spiders to frighten his mummy with when she came home.

My final pics are a few I took around our garden yesterday...it's looking very like Autumn out there now....I really love how the flower colours change through the year.

I hope you have found something to make you smile this week and will now leave me a little message before linking your own smiles below.
Hugs,

This week's smiles...week 117

There weren't so many of you last week with smiles to share so I'm not selecting just one of you out of the 5 that linked up but would like to say a big thank you to all 5 of them.....come on girls I'm sure you can all find a little something in your lives that has made you smile and you'd be willing to share with the rest of us....the world really is a happier place if you do.  How does the saying go?.....'Smile and the world smiles with you'

Thanks to those who also joined in the fun with a slogan for the pic....Loved them.

This weeks write a slogan pic is...
And my slogan is....Three rounds in the boxing ring, two black eyes and still they only feed me bamboo shoots!

So my smiles I'm sharing this week.....of which there were loads :-)....

It was our daughter Amy's 30th birthday party last Saturday so you can well imagine we did a lot of smiling that night.  They held the party at their home and invited just close family and friends and what a wonderful time we all had.
There was a hog roast, a small marquee, live entertainment and drinks in cooling....what more could we ask for?

Sam thought it hilarious that the beer had been put in an old tin bath full of water to keep it cool.  :-)

After all the gorgeous sunshine we had been having it was a shame that it was so cold Saturday for the party but as you could see here the men in the family soon set to to light some fires....it's a man thing you know [the hunter / gatherer comes out in them all at times like these].  :-)

Lexi has started her ballet classes again and was happy to pose for us all in her new tutu, tights and ballet shoes....Isn't she growing up so quickly?  :-)

My last pic was of some of the creative fun I had with the twins this week....you might recognise Little Miss Muffet with her spider, Little Red Riding Hood, Grandma, 3 wolves , Tinky Winky and three little Piggies.  Oh what fun we have.  They both use scissors really well now even though Sam is a lefty and it took him a little longer than his sister to learn.

It's so good to see little ones being creative and their vocabulary seems to grow every day because of it.  :-)

Well there you go folks. Thanks for calling by.  Those are just some of my smiles.  Please try to find a little something in your lives that has made you smile this week and link them up below and lets see if we can make the world a happier place.

Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 53

Another week has passed and as always I have lots in my life that makes me smile.  When time is plodding along very slowly and seeming to get nowhere in areas of your life it is good to focus on the happy things....Yes, I mean I still have no more news to share on the house move!  I have never done this moving house thing before and truly didn't realise that the wheels turned so very slowly.....guess we will get there but it really would be nice to have a moving date to focus on.

This week I would like to thank the 5 of you who linked us last week....not our usual numbers but have a feeling many are suffering with the dark, gloomy days and struggling to find their happy moments.  I would like to feature my big sister Jo's blog this week cos she shared a gorgeous photo of some of natures little treasures and this encouraged me to take the twins on a treasure hunt.....and that's what I'm sharing this week.

We put our coats on and I told the twins we were going on a treasure hunt.   I told them we had to walk carefully so as not to tread on the special little things I was taking them to find and the magic of the moment was amazing when they saw the little green shoots forcing their way through the cold, hard ground.  There are always a lot of snowdrops in the churchyard opposite our house so I knew we wouldn't be disappointed but even I didn't realise just how magic the nature would captivate two little 2 year olds......isn't nature amazing?

The other quick snap I'm sharing with you today is of my amazing family.  :-)  It was Michelle's 30th birthday on 7th Jan and she and her friend decided to have a joint birthday party with a 70s and 80s theme.  As you can see my family don't do things by halves....yes that really is my two daughters, their husbands, my son and his fiancee :-)  A great time was had by all and I'm sure it was a party to remember.

I hope my snaps have made you smile today and you will all take a little time out of your busy lives to focus on the happy moments and share them with us by linking below.
