I'm sorry to say I was MIA again last week but we had only just got back from a lovely long weekend near York in our caravan and I didn't have anything to share with you....plus I was under demand from the customers who had missed me while I was away :-)
Just before we went away my main sewing machine went caput on me so I had to swap machines until I could either get it fixed or replaced [depending on the expence involved]. On Monday I went back to where I bought my machine and they said I should take my machine back to themto be fixed...£220 for the service plus further for any replacement parts required!! At that price it meant replacement....but I have another repair man that I use when needed. Yesterday we took my machine for him to have a look at it and he has repaired it for £40 :-)
I have been busy making more bears this week...

Glad you were able to get your machine repaired, what a difference in price between the 2 though! Hope you get your memory cushion made; look forward to pics! Happy WOYWW stay cool. Helen #2

Ooh crikey that repair price was punching high, no wonder you went to the other chap. Keep well busy lady

I’ve got a repairman like that in Llanelli! He does a complete overhaul and service for £50 but I won’t need that yet as my machine is still new. I’m glad you managed to get it all going again, you’re too busy not to have it running perfectly.
Hugs LLJ 5 xx
Just shows it does good to shop around. Guess the first one are in the market for new machines all the time.
Glad you have been getting away for weekends or more, do it whilst you can. Winter will be upon us before we know it,
Hugs, Neet 3 xx
Glad you got your machine fixed at reasonable cost. The bears are all lovely and I’ll look forward to seeing the memory cushion too. Catriona
Oh my! Annie how dare you go away! Some people don't think you should have a life of your own you should be there at all times. £40 sounds more reasonable. A friend of mine had taken her machine to be fixed and it still wasn't right and I sorted it for her in minutes. Love the new bears. Wishing you a very happy woyww with hugs Angela x9x
Oh Gosh Annie, thank goodness you checked with your other guy before committing to replacing; I guess the overheads at shops and employees add so much, it’s a bit of a shocker though isn’t it. Gulp. So glad you’re getting away not, but hope you don’t spend the trip worrying about what’s waiting for you when you get home! I do t like crafting in the garden, generally I drag stuff out, sit down, get started and then have to go and get something I e forgotten that would normally be within reach! Idle huh!! Anyway, the napkins and a brush and a pot of water and one of glue wasn’t too testing!!
Hi Annie, I'm gasping at that price you were quoted at the shop but I'm glad you were able to get it done for a much more reasonable price. And you've saved the cost of buying a new one too. So nice that you got away for a break. Sounds like you deserve the time away and York is such a lovely city to visit. The memory bears are, as usual, gorgeous. Have a wonderful week. Hugs to you both and to Peggy too. Hugs x #15
Glad you were able to get your machine repaired cheaper than the original price. Shopping around is such a good idea. Happy WOYWW. Angela #13
