Another week and lots more to smile about. I feel so blessed that I really don't struggle to find something that has made me smile each week. Work has eased off again this week but I really don't seem to struggle to find something to do each day.
We caught up with these three at the weekend...Stephen will be 10 this weekend and one of his uncles will be 40 so we celebrated both birthdays with a hog roast and live entertainment in their garden [in their marquee]...it was so lovely to all be together safely.
Theo has had his first school photos [these are the proofs hense the quality]. He looks so grown up now don't you think?
I call him 'No fear Theo'. Here he is climbing up a climbing wall....notice no ropes and there's no stopping him.
He's such a confident little boy and I'm sure that will carry him through life.
Finally here's the latest collage taken in our garden....the colours really are looking so Autumnal now....I love it.
I hope you will share your smiles by linking them at the bottom of the page.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
This is definitely all about the grands this week. I can tell how proud you are. I can't believe how grown up Theo looks. It seems he grew up in the last six months. At least that is when I noticed how much he had changed. Happy birthday to Steve. I hope it's a great celebration. Have a great Friday and weekend. I'm off to get a snack, then headed to bed. I'll be by to visit everyone after a nap.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated WOYWW. Grandchildren just grow up too fast don't they? Our youngest is 3 now, and the eldest will be 8 in January. Your garden is looking beautiful, as ever. I am currently tackling weeds and moss, that threaten to take over almost constantly. Ali x #4
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking fabulous in Autumn and as for those children - well they are just adorable. xxxx Jo
ReplyDeleteAll the grandchildren are looking so grown up! There’s always something special about the first school photo and no fear Theo is certainly a good name for a rock wall climber. Happy weekend💕
ReplyDeleteThe children are growing so fast and little Theo is so brave but then they fear nothing at his age. The plants are looking good too. The weather here has been good so we are getting lots done in the garden and it's noticeable that some of it didn't get done last year but we're getting there. Back later to see everyone else when I've walked the dogs. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteA lovely post again this week Annie. Happy Birthday to Sam. He is the same age as our first great-grandson Isaac who was ten a couple of weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteI have all my boys 'first school photos'. It is lovely to look back on them. In fact in those days they had a school photo every year until they moved to secondary school and I have them all. I don't know whether they still do that.
The garden is still beautiful. Thiose dark reds and purple really shout Autumn, but the bright yellow is more of a Spring colour to me. Is it mahonia? We had one until our front of house was completely restyled and the bees loved it, and when we pruned it the wood was bright yellow right through.
Keep enjoying the times you can sit out there to drink your morning coffee. Kate xx
Theo has had all our hearts from the day he was born. He’s a little star.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to all be together and such a happy occasion.
We’ve got a family get together ourselves in December when our niece gets married. We are all excited at being together again

Happy (belated) birthday Stephen! A joint party in a marquee, that sounds great. It must have been really lovely to have the whole family together after nearly two years.
ReplyDeleteYes, Theo all of a sudden is a proper boy. Is he enjoying school, or is he very much ahead?
Children of that age don't have fear, and rock climbing will increase his coordination as well as his confidence. Well done Theo.
The flowers in your garden are still going strong and the beautiful colours are giving you a lot of pleasure.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca
Hi Annie, I wish I had time to post smiles on Friday because, as you say, there's always something to smile about. Your grandchildren really look very grown up now, the boys are handsome and the girls are lovely. I know you, and I know you're never short of things to do even when work is slow. I'm still struggling to find my mojo - it's there somewhere, just well-hidden! The colours of autumn are my favourites - we still have roses in bloom. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Ellie xx
