WOYWW....

Hello all.  What a week I've had since I posted for last Wednesday.  I had no work on Monday or Tuesday, as you know, but on Wednesday I had a bridesmaid's dress to do major alterations on plus 2 dresses, a dressing gown and a pair of cropped trousers that needed shortening.  On top of all that I also had 3 Memory bears and a Memory cushion cover to make....and these all needed finishing by Thursday as we were setting off on another adventure in our motor home on Friday morning. On Thursday I also had a pair of shorts also needing repairing and a prom dress to shorten so it was a very busy couple of days for me.....I hope you will all understand why I didn't manage to get around you all to leave comments last week.  I promise I will try harder this week but I already have .....

....these two posh frocks hanging on my rail and lots more promised to arrive this week too.  It's certainly an all or nothing life I lead here at Sewing by Annie....and I love it :-)

We both enjoyed our long weekend up near Coniston Water up in the Lake District....it was certainly a break well earned :-) I may have a few pics to share with you on Friday.

Since we got back from our few days away I have had delivery of new threads....I know just how excited some of you get when you have new pens and that's just as excited as me with my new threads even though they are just to restock my thread drawers.

I've also had this ATC and card through the post from Catriona....I know she was beginning to think it was never going to arrive but it had been damaged in the post and resealed in a poly bag by the post office.  Thankfully the contents weren't damaged so thank you Catriona very much.

That's all from me for today.  Thank you so much for the love and understanding in my comments last week....it really hadn't been the best of weeks for me so your thoughtfulness really helped.
Hugs,
Annie x

Gosh those were very very busy days Annie. Shame we did not know about your trip to Coniston we could have popped up to meet you as we are not far from there with our caravan.
Those threads look wonderful - I have a box of threads and though I rarely sew they do excite me when I see them.
Hugs, Neet 10 xx

My desk was going to show off ATCs this week….that was as you know, not quite what happened! My word you did pack it all in last week..it’s as if someone hears about your weekend plans and then tells everyone to get their work round to you. It was the same when I had the shop, I could have a really quiet day and once I’d decided to Hoover and go home, the world and his wife would turn up and keep me late! Lovely array of colours in that thread order, doesn’t what what the medium is, I just like to see lots of colour!

You’ll be needing to get away again now Annie after all that work is done.
Now I do appreciate your threads and how organised they are.
Looking forward to the Friday smiles

Love those threads, all gorgeous colours laid out like that, so pretty. Hope you don’t get too many more jobs all at once, spaced out would be much nicer but it doesn’t seem to happen that way!

Hi Annie, I love threads just as much as pens but then I did spend 33 years teaching textiles so I guess you never lose it. Pleased you had a nice time away over the weekend. I think the mass of work that's come in is typical as you say it's all or nothing. You may have guessed I survived the Skip-diving and just need now to sort everything out. Have a lovely week and a very creative woyww, Angela x17xa

You know the saying it never rains but pours - it would be better to have a constant dribble of jobs rather than a deluge after a dry spell, but that's just the nature of things, isn't it? Keep up the good work and hopefully you can put your feet up a bit when these jobs are over. Thanks for still finding the time to stop by, Annie! xx zsuzsa #21

Your new thread looks awesome. I like the pastels you ordered. Somehow, I've gone to variegated, but that doesn't work in your world. I would be excited if I unveiled those, too. And it's always good to stay busy. Happy WOYWW from # 5.

Annie, I agree with Zsuzsa, when it rains it pours! It is wonderful though that you have all that on the table, it makes up for when you didnt! LOL Love all the new thread you got. Looks like a wonderful variety of colors!! Sew away my friend, that scares me to no end! LOLOL Love your ATC you got in the mail and was wondering if you got the one I sent you through Jo? No need to post, just making sure you got what I sent you! Blessings to you and have a wonderful rest of your week! :) Felicia #22
