This week's smiles...week 345

These weeks sure are flying by and I'm doing my best to fill mine with smiles....life is far too short for anything else don't you agree?

So here's a few snaps of what's been making me smile this week....

My darling hubby, our little dog Milly and I headed off for another adventure last weekend in our motor home.  We found a lovely campsite in Cirencester and on Sunday we enjoyed a day at the Arboretum at Westonbirt nearby.  The Autumn colours of the trees were stunning.

The walkway/bridge you can see in some of the photos was a tree top walk and for someone who really isn't good at heights I can proudly say I managed it and it was really wonderful to see the trees at a whole new level.

The top right photo is one of three dogs carved out of wood...very special too.

I really love mushrooms, toadstools and fungus of any kind and, with there being so much rain this Autumn, many of these have done really well this year so I've just had to snap a few photos of some of the ones I've seen.

For Halloween our grandchildren have all been round a few of their local houses trick or treating and they really loved dressing up to go....

...here's Phoebe, Lulu and Steve and.....

....little Theo joined Lexi and Sam before they went out.  Doesn't he make a cute little pumpkin ?

I hope my pics have made you smile today and you will now leave me a little comment before linking up your own smiles below.
Hugs,
Annie x

Oh I love the Arboretum in Westonbirt. We used to go there regularly. Make sure you go next month when they have the illuminations. It's beautiful and fairytailish. Great for children.
I like the carved out dogs. I don't remember seeing those before.
Well done you for managing the tree-top walkway. That must have been spectacular.
So many mushrooms! It is supposed to be mushroom season here too, but it hasn't rained much yet.
Your grandchildren look suitably scary. (Apart from Theo who looks so cute).
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca

Hi Annie, I meant to photograph the fabric and will do that for next week as I know you will love it. We've just been a bit distracted with the jobs. The carved dogs are awesome! and the fungi is amazing but not as much as the kids who have obviously been having lots of fun.
Hope you've not had too much rain. We've had quite a bit here but thank goodness the fish are still in the pond not swimming round the garden. Have a great weekend. Big hugs, Angela xXx

Hi Annie, well done on going over that walkway. I'm not keen on heights too but I'm sure the view was worth conquering your fears for. Your shots of fungi are interesting. We've spotted some that looks very like wild mushrooms growing in our garden but we're not tempted to eat them - we could be so wrong! The children all look absolutely fabulous in their costumes and how lovely that little Theo was included this year - the perfect little pumpkin. Have a wonderful weekend. Ellie xx

The Arboretum sounds lovely. The colours are certainly at their best right now in UK. And everyone seems to be finding fungi. The conditions must really suit them this year. I didn't spot any of the red ones but we did see pretty large round white ones that didn't make it into my photos for today.
I must admit I won't have anything to do with halloween, and we don't answer our door to any trick or treaters, but I was away this year and it just passed me by. I had one son who took weeks to recover from nightmares after seeing the ugly displays in local shop windows, and that was enough for me. There is plenty of ugliness in the world without creating more. But that's just my rant and at least in our country everyone has a right to follow their own convictions. Kate x
you are very brave to do a tree walk. I would give it a go but i am not sure Chris would! Kate x
