This week's smiles...week 337

What a week it's been and it's been filled with smiles here so I shall share some of them with you....

Whilst away at Euro Disney last week Lexi challenged Micky Mouse to a dance off....I think Lexi won don't you?

Just wish I could!!

At the weekend, and before the children went back to school Amy, Dave and the children enjoyed a few days away in Anglesey....I really love seeing the three of them playing together and enjoying the freedom of a beach to themselves.

On Sunday we went for walk in the Dingle in Shrewsbury's Quarry Park....just look at those gorgeous flowers.

I love this photo of Milly...she's sat on the arm of the chair by me looking out of the window...probably for cats daring to walk past!

We pulled the first carrots and beetroot from our little raised veg garden at the weekend and I just had to share them with you....there's nothing quite like freshly pulled veg is there?

We had Theo for a full day on Tuesday so we went out for the day in our motor home for a day of adventures.  Sadly the beach we were going to had been fenced off but we found a country park we could enjoy our picnic at and on the way back we found a garden centre with a play park and ice creams.....just perfect.

Before going back to school Phoebe, Lulu and Steve wanted to have a baking session to make treats to go in their sandwich boxes.....don't the results look yummy?

Each year Amy makes up a collage of back to school photos...oh how they have grown!  It doesn't seem 5 mins since the first pic in the top left corner was taken when Phoebe started school and she goes to big school next September!!

Here's the back to school pic of the twins too...Year 3!! The years pass so quickly don't they?

There you go.  I hope you've made it to the end this week.  I had so many smiles I wanted to record on my blog for this week.  I hope at least some of them made you smile too.  I will probably not be able to post smiles next Friday, as we are off North on an adventure in the motor home, but trust me when I say I will have lots to smile about so will have two weeks of smiles to share with you the week after.

This is all about the children, isn't it? They all look so grown up all of a sudden. Especially Lexi in that Year 3 photo. It's actually hard to believe they are twins, the older they get.

The flowers in the park are amazing. Milly and your husband look like they were enjoying the view, too.

I enjoyed seeing the children baking, but not sure I would want to eat cupcakes "sprinkled with dog wormer." Just a bit of humor I saw in the photos.

Have a great weekend and lovely Friday. Have fun next weekend and soak up the smiles to share with us when you get back.

Late for WOYWW so am here, it’s just as lovely. Great to see your apprentice..I reckon he understaffed so that you didn’t ask him to help again! He’ll be reluctant to venture across the threshold with coffee if you find him work!! Happy days with the children, it is so lovely to see cousins and siblings so happy in each other’s company. Have a great trip up North...dont forget we need photos!

Beautiful photographs but scary how the time goes. The back to school collage is a great idea. We were only talking yesterday about how much easier it is now to take the photos and there they are no going to the chemist to have them developed. It hardly seems like yesterday that I took a group of school children to the Lincolnshire Show with one of the first commercially available digital cameras and people were stopping us and asking what they were using and now they are such common place and have massive memory cards which were tiny then.
Wish I was at yours for those gorgeous buns they look scrummy. But I'm sorry kids....Milly has to be the winner here for me today, the photograph is gorgeous. Have a lovely weekend everyone. Big hugs, Angela xXx

Ah Annie. I knew there would be other Back to school photos to go with mine! They are all growing up so fast aren't they.
I love Quarry Park. It always looks nice there. That little oasis in the centre is the perfect spot for a picnic.
It sounds as though you had a good day out with Theo even if it wasn't quite what you had planned.
Enjoy your trip up north. Kate xx

Why is it children look so much more grown up in their uniforms? Lovely photos and It’s great to see Theo in the van with you. Safe journey and we’ll see you soon.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been out all day.
I've enjoyed all your pictures. And i am particularly impressed by Lexi doing the splits! The dunes in Anglesey look great fun and the gardens in Shrewsbury Quarry are stunning. Were they created in an old quarry?
What a beautiful picture of Milly looking out of the window.
Congratulations on your first veggies. They look really lovely.
Isn't it wonderful that you can just hop into your motorhome and drive off. I'm sure Theo enjoyed his day out.
The children had fun by the looks of it, making treats for their lunchboxes. They did really well, I must say.
The back-to-school photos are great.
Have a lovely time 'up North'. I'm looking forward to the photos when you come back.
