This week's smiles....week 251

Here we are at another round up of the week's smiles...and trust me when I say there have been lots to smile about this week.

Saturday five of my little elves came with their mummies to decorate our tree...it's something they like to do each year....I just wish I could bottle the giggles between them all while they are doing it.

Sunday we went on the Llanfair light Railways Santa train with other family members...there was 13 of us in all and as you can see we had a wonderful time.

Some of us then went for homemade soup and puds at our niece Vicki's who lives in the grounds of Powis Castle....she is one of the gardeners there and after tea we all walked around the castle and grounds to see the sculptures and Christmas lights.  Vicki had made many willow sculptures to go around the grounds and here is a pic of some of them....

Aren't they amazing?....she's such a talented girl.

We have had some amazing skies over the last week so here's a couple to make you smile...

If all that hasn't got you smiling then this will.....The twins have done this every year since they were born and I can see them still taking a pic for years to come.....maybe only one leg in next year!!

Now I would just like to say a huge thank you to all who join in each week, a very Happy Christmas to you all and here's to many, many more shared smiles next year.

A lovely post Annie. All the run up to Christmas is so much more fun when there are little people to share it with. I love all your special family traditions just as I do in my own family. The decorations look lovely, so they all did a good job. I wonder what Milly makes of it all.
We did the Santa train at Llangollen with our boys one year and it was great fun.
The willow sculptures are great. Well done to Vicki.
I am glad you had a happy week. I didn't here from you last week and was worried that you weren't well.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend with all your lovely family. Love Kate xx

Thanks for sharing your family photos, Annie. You have such a talented family and I really like those willow sculptures. We are now set up ready for Christmas and don't intend to go out until at least 27th December by which time we will need fresh milk. My daughter's only worry about Christmas and New Year is finding out that her suitcase is 5kg too heavy for flying to the sun tomorrow with her husband!! Not how i envisaged Christmas in retirement, but Norrie and I will celebrate 46 years of marriage on Christmas Eve so at least we got that bit right. See you next year. Catriona

Thank you very much for sending a lovely hand crafted card. It's nestling alongside the one from your dear sis Jo. How lucky you are having your beautiful family around you and it looks like you have had a super build up to Christmas. Vicki's willow sculptures are wonderful. Something I alway wanted to try for my own garden.
I have had my Devon family branch here for a week which was amazing and I can look forward to seeing the German wing in January. It keeps me going!
Here's hoping you have a great Christmas and best wishes for 2018.
love Jo x

I'm a bit late visiting, but wanted to wish you a rather belated Merry Christmas. I so love Friday Smiles, and this was no exception. Those kids look like they are so happy putting the decorations on the tree. And of course, Lexi and Sam look SO cute again with their stockings. Merry, merry Christmas, dear Annie.
