As you can see every surface is clean and very tidy and that is because on Thursday last week, I had a friend coming round for a workshop so I had a tidy round and put all my clutter away where it should be but I also while doing that I 'tidied away' my magnetic pin holder!!! This is said pin holder.....
Until I had one I never knew just how much I needed one but now I've got one it gets used every day and is never far from me....that is til last Thursday!!! Since then I have searched every cupboard, fabric pile, drawer, shelf etc etc. In fact I had everyone else searching for me too.....It's too heavy to mislay easily and I HATE to lose anything especially something as much used as this is. Monday morning that big sister of mine popped round for coffee and she searched for me too but alas we couldn't find it so it was decided that as she was going into our fav fabric shop where I bought the pin holder from, on Tuesday, she would get me a new one....and of course more pins cos they were missing too!!!
Guess what I found first thing yesterday morning? Yes I've found it at last. And guess where it was hiding?.....
....can you see it? Nope neither could I but when I came to use my paper cutter for some strange reason it wouldn't sit level!! Yes you've guessed my MAGNETIC pin holder had stuck itself to the underside of the paper cutter!!! Needless to say I now have a VERY tidy sewing room and have wasted 4 days looking for it!!
And for those who didn't see my latest makes on my Facebook page these are what I've made this week and I shall me taking them with me on Saturday to the craft fair at the twins pre-school to hopefully sell...
They are, what I've called, Money Bunnies and are made of felt with a slot in the back for pennies to go....I know that not everyone likes to give chocolate for Easter so thought these would be a pretty alternative.
Before I go I must thank you all for the lovely comments last week. It really does help to have so many good blogging friends when times are difficult so thanks for getting me through a hard week.
If you leave me a little comment to let me know you've called in I will do my best to pay you a return visit.
Hugs,
Annie x

Had to smile, Annie, when you found your magnetic pin holder! What a place for it to hide! Glad it has re-appeared, though, as you would be lost without the pins. Love the money bunnies - hope they go well at the sale on Saturday.
Take care. God bless.

Oh, how many times have we given up on something that was lost, only to find it immediately after we'd bought its replacement??! I wouldn't have thought of it being under the paper cutter whatsit either! Those money bunnies are fun, hope they sell well :-)
Hugs, LLJ 4 xx
Oooh those bunnies are sooo cute Annie!
.. and yes have found myself the very time you find something is right after your have bought a replacement.
.. mind you, have been blessed re my die hunt as have misplaced a few in my time now .. and only one did I replace and as it wasn't the same one when the other turned up it did not matter at all..
However a girl cant have too many pins nor magnetic pin holders for that very reason.. they can go AWOL!
Thanks so much for sharing.

Things always seem to turn up when we've stopped looking for them. Happy woyww Jill #10
I'm still laughing at your incident. haha, such a funny story. your work area looks very inviting. And those bunnies are so cute. Happy WOYWW from Vicky#8
Oh how frustrating to spend all that time looking for those pins, very annoying when anything gets lost. It looks like a very useful container too, I might have to invest in one.
I love the money bunnies, they are super, I am very resistant to giving chocolate, mainly because it is so hard finding fair trade chocolates that my fussy grand children will eat.
Thanks for sharing

Oooh, reading your story I could just SEE you and your family/friends looking for your pin holder... it's frustrating indeed to loose things like that. I'm glad you found it, enjoy using it again! Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #34
I was thinking as I read your log 'she's going to find it stuck to the bottom of something just after she buys a new one!'
Have a great day.

Oh Annie, that story did make me smile! Isn't it always the way though, as soon as you either replace something, or don't need it anymore, it turns up! Love the Bunnies, great idea. We don't buy Easter Eggs for relatives, some years we've seen pics and it looks like the kids are standing in a sweet shop- just so not good for them. So we don't contribute to the chocolate mountains anymore.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #5 xxx
Hi Annie, I had to smile about the pins. I usually find when I tidy up I loose stuff but you do look very organised too. Thank you so much for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x 19
what cute bunnies! sod's law you'd find your magnetic pin holder as soon as you replaced it - but it does look very useful. Thanks for the visit. Helen #21
Your bunnies are simply adorable and great idea! I would kill for your long counter space and the cabinets above it!!
Happy Creating to you!!
:) (at least no one sat on it) that was what I kept expecting to read that it had been set down on a chair or something. (yikes)
there is a magnetic tool for stampers that you put cling stamp on what has a little magnet to hold your paper in place when you close the lid to stamp ( A Misti) and when ever I lose the magnet that is where I find it, on the bottom side of the tool.

I like your bunnies - very cute!
I guess there is hope for my lost scissors yet. I'll probably find them in some really funky place lol
Have a great week

Loving the little bunnies. I so smiled about the loss of your pin holder. The lost aritcle always shows up when it is replaced. Like it doesn't want to be lonely. Glad I'm not alone on losing things. ! Have a great week. It's good to have someone visit...lots gets put away and things look good when neat and tidy, but it's not real life.
That is so typical - looking everywhere for ages and then finding it as soon as you've replaced it!!!! love the bunnies. Hope I find my lost gloves but fear I've left them somewhere when I was out :-( only worn them twice :-( Thanks for visiting Anne x #32
What a great story! I do not posess a magnetic pin holder. It would be so handy for my lacemaking where I seem to need millions of pins!
Sorry I´m late. I had my new computer today and I have been fiddling about with that but now I have everything going. (I am typing this on my new keyboard, which is Spanish, so I am constantly looking for things that are in a different place). I still have to sort out the printer and some speakers, but the system works!
Have a great week and thanks for visiting me earlier.

Those money bunnies are so darling!
A frustrating time for you losing that pin holder. But what a fantastic craft space you have.

We have matching pin holders. I have misplaced my hem gauge and my turning pointy things stick. I know they are around but where. . . My sewing space though is tiny and full of non sewing items people keep piling on it which doesn't help! xx
