WOYWW.....

Some of you that visited me last week didn't get a return visit and for that I must apologise.....I was a poorly girl so I hope you will forgive me.  In fact I was so poorly that I didn't manage to do a Happy Friday post at all. :-(  It's really not like me but sometimes life has other ideas and rest was the order of the day....thankfully, although I'm not fully recovered I am now on the road to recovery.....these things take a little longer as you get older don't they?

So, you have come here to see what's on my work desk haven't you?

My cutting station was piled high and the whole room was a mess because my darling hubby had to sort out a little problem I was having with my new shelves....

Because of the weight of the little storage boxes that I keep on these shelves he has had to put some supporting brackets underneath for me....where would I be without him? [one thing is for sure all that I expected this shelf to support would have ended up on the floor lol ].

I have found a couple of little jobs that I could do while resting.  I needed storage for my collection of bobbins for my new sewing machine so.....a plastic sandwich box, my glue gun and some lolly sticks and job done :-)  I'm rather chuffed with the result too.

The other little job I've done this week too is to make two little tooth fairy pillows for my eldest two granddaughters.....rather pretty don't you think?

That's all from me for today.  I will do my best to get round a few more of you this week....promise.
Hugs,
Annie x

Hi Annie, so pleased to hear you're on the mend, nothing worse than being crook. You're sewing room looks super, it's great to have a handy man hubby, lucky you didn't end up with the shelf contents on your lap. Now you also just the cleverest to make a storage container for you bobbins. Have a super week, hope to get posting again on Fridays too, hugs RobynO#21

So hoping you are back to normal soon. Nothing worse when feeling poorly then having ideas and not being able to do them. Love those little tooth fairy pillows. Great idea for the bobbins too. Just received 2 packs that came by boat 6 weeks...from Maylaysia I didn't know bobbins were different for each machine..but I switched brands from Singer to Brother. Learn something everyday. Best Wishes to You and Yours for the New Year.

Hi Annie, so sorry to hear you've been poorly and yes it does take longer to get over it as we get older.

Well you certainly put your time to good use. The bobbin holder idea is genius. The two little tooth fairy bags are beautiful. My goodness I'd have loved one of those when I was a child - quite magical. Hope you'll soon be fully recovered. Barbxx #28

Glad to hear you are feeling better, Annie. There's been a lot of it around lately.
Have you been overloading your shelves???? I think we're all as bad as each other aren't we. I know my hubby always makes all my storage extra strong, he knows me too well.
Love the tooth fairy bags, they are sooo cute.

Happy New Year

Hi Annie. So glad you are beginning to feel a little better. Hope it won't be too long before you are firing on all cylinders! Cute little gifts made this week, and the spool storage is inspired! Well done. They come all unravelled if not kept neatly, don't they?
Take care. God bless.

Hi Annie, glad to see you are getting better and, yes, it does take us a bit longer to recover now that we are past the first flush of youth! Glad you didn't have the contents of that shelf fall on you to add to your problems ... what would we do without our resident handymen :) Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #59

I had planned to visit sooner, but right after I linked to Julia, my electricity went off. It came back on a short time ago, so now I'm trying to catch up with everyone. I would be pleased, too, if I had that many extra bobbins. Your storage solution is superb. Glad your DH was able to fix the shelving. If it had been my house, I'd have had to do it myself! Thanks for visiting while I was in the dark. Happy WOYWW Thursday from #1.

Dont be stressing about visiting - you must concentrate on getting well and that probably involves rest. I love that you need shelf support already; I know you don't intend to go through this again, but you'd factor it in next time, huh! Still, it didn't create too much trouble. Better than a collapse!

Happy New Year, Annie! Thank you very much for already visiting me!
Great job on the shelf supports. Looks like it will be able to hold a lot more now!
Oh, I loved the pictures of your grandchildren in your next post. Isn't it amazing
how they grow up so quickly?
