WOYWW...

Hi friends.  It's a quick post from me today from off my sick bed.....yes I'm not a lot better and Monday saw me paying the Dr a visit for some antibiotics for my chest infection.  :-)  I am feeling pretty shaky still and as I've not slept properly for a week and a half because of my cough I'm feeling pretty washed out.  I've not been able to have my little twinnie munchkins to look after so am really missing normal life....if there ever is such a thing here at Sewing by Annie's!!!

So what do I have to show you today?

I've now sewn together into 2x2 blocks most of the stress busting, house moving knitted squares I've made so far and Jo and I decided they would look best with a crocheted border in the same colour to tie them all together so I've made a start.

On the left you can see the stack of blocks I still have to crochet round and on the right are 3 more piles of squares now ready to be sewn into blocks.

These are 3 odd knitted squares that I have to knit extra squares to make blocks out of but search as I might I can't find odd balls of wool to go with them as yet....I just might have to buy some more wool!!   ;-)

Well folks, I'm sorry there is not much to show you today but I have had to find crafting I have been able to do on my knee whilst resting and hopefully getting better....it's taking it's time!!!

House moving update for all my blogging friends.....
Yesterday saw 17 weeks from the day we accepted the offer on our house....It's been a looooooong wait.  We were told yesterday that all the contracts have now been signed and we are all ready to name a moving date....that is apart from our buyers who at this late date have now told us they are unable to get their mortgage! As they say if it can go wrong it has gone wrong.....watch this space.

Thanks for popping in.  If you leave me a little hello comment to say you've called in I will do my best to pay you a return visit later.

Hugs,
Annie x

Oh Annie, im really sorry to hear you are still poorly. I hope the pills do the trick and you are your old self again real soon. Meanwhile keep on knitting/crocheting and before you know it you'll be in your new home. It will be worth the wait im sure.

Oh Annie, what a bummer on the house front, hope it gets sorted soon and that you beat those bugs into submission. Always seem that colds and other bugs get the upper hand at this time of year.
Chin up and keep crafting.
Happy Wednesday

Feel better soon Annie. I have to say we have been plagued with illness here, one thing and then another with the arrival of chickenpox this morning for my eldest son.

The first panic came on the sale of my mums house yesterday when the buyer dropped the price by £2k because of damp and timber decay. Fingers crossed and lots of prayers that it is resolved.
And lots of the same for you too. Hope you feel a bit better by the day as well.

Oh Annie, I am so sorry about the house. Can any more go wrong with you moving? Just hope this is a slight hiccup and all gets sorted.
Not surprised you are down with a bad chest and all that accompanies it, you must be so down in yourself. Get well my friend and then those munchkins can come and cheer you up.
Lots of love

Hi Annie. Oh how I empathise with you over the dreaded chest infection. I am now in week four and have been able to do a little around the house for the first time. I normally have the constitution of a horse but this bug has completely floored me. Do take the antibiotics and as much rest as you can, cos it won't get better without. I have my fingers crossed for you for your move as well. What a catalogue of troubles it has been for you. Hope it gets resolved soon. Hugs Jenny x

Sorry to hear about all the buyers issues. I had that to happen in 1982 when we sold a house! Always something huh! Hope it settles soon. I love the stress quilt and the way it is turning out. I look forward to seeing the finished item.
Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a crafty week! Vickie #49

Oh, I am so sorry to hear you have been unwell and I've been away from all the news. The best thing for a very quick recovery will be a definite moving date and I hope it comes soon, my friend.
The blanket is an epic one and I have just started a handmade quilt which will be a long run. I had to have a hand project whilst looking after my sick friend.
Get well soon and hope things sort out well,
Love Jo x

Oh Annie, sorry to hear you're so poorly. Hope those ABs hurry up and do their job. Your house moving saga is almost beyond belief. You would have a lot to chat about if you ever met our neighbours. Their house sale just fell through because somebody in the chain had added an extension to their house without planning permission. The council are due to tear it down and he hadn't mentioned this small fact to his buyers!!!
Fingers crossed it all falls into place very soon xx

Oh Annie. I do hope you atart to feel better soon - and as for the house sale - well.... just know that we are all frustrated for you!!! The purchaser of my father's house pulled out a few weeks ago - for... wait for it.... the garden had had Japanese knotweed in it - treated professionally - but he reckoned he wouldn't ever be able to sell it with a history like that!!! Oh boy!
Trust all comes together soon for you.
Take care my friend - and keep adding to the blanket - or will it be blanketS by the time you move do you think??

Hello Annie. I'm so sorry to hear you are still not well. You've had a lot of stress though which I'm sure is not helping. Can't believe that your buyers are now having problems. It's never ending. The squares are looking good. I'm not joining in WOYWW this week just having a peek at my favourite desks. Things not good here either. Hope things get better for us both - soon. Anne x

Hope it gets sorted for you soon and what have the Estate Agents and Solicitors been doing all this time, surely someone must have known. Feeling angry on your behalf, x

Don't worry about visiting me. I'm not playing this week, as I've just gotten back from my trip. Please get to feeling better soon.

It seems the adage, when one door opens, another closes, fits you, but not in a good way, especially since I accidentally turned the saying around. Unintentional as it was, it fits. I can't believe the luck you're having with this move. I'm sure we'll all look back on it in a few years and laugh, but right now, getting better is YOUR priority.

Hi, Annie! Aww, I'm sorry to hear that you are sick and I hope you will be well soon. Sending a prayer that you will be restored to full health as soon as possible. And I hope your house concerns will get fixed too. It's taking quite some time!
Thanks for visiting me!
