WOYWW.....

So, another week has passed and we are creeping closer to the big day.  My 'to do' rail keeps filling and getting in the way of the seasonal preparations so every spare minute I seem to be playing catch up.

Here you can see the beginnings of my next batch of Christmas cards.  I've used bond a web to attach Sari silk ribbons onto a base fabric and will work on this with machine embroidery etc  before cutting it up and embellishing it further to decorate some cards with.  Watch this space as they say.

This is the latest little knittie I've made with some wool M bought for me to knit for Sam.  It's knit up a bit small so not sure whether it will fit but if not one of her best friends had a little boy on Sunday so it will go to a good home.  :-) ....welcome to the world little Oliver.
Jo[zart]....take note of the fab buttons....we all love them.  Thanks so much x

I treated myself to a 'comic' last weekend for being a good girl and just know the knitters out there will love it if you have littlies like mine to knit for.  It's the Woman's weekly special collectible series and it has some real favourites in it to knit/crochet such as Angelina Ballerina,  Peppa Pig and Raa Raa the noisy lion and in total it has 39 great pattern in it so I felt it was well worth the £9.95 I paid for it.  I am trying to make a few special knitties as Christmas pressies. [wonder if you can guess which ones I'm knitting?....I won't share then til after the big day but will take some pics].

Another stocking in the making.  I'm taking orders now  :-)   Sooooooooo many new babies during this year in my life.

I have two little elves who are desperate to decorate our Christmas tree.....Amy has always loved doing the tree and this year she has two little helpers [Stephen will prob sleep through it...he's such a good baby].  It was far too soon to bring a real tree into the house so this year we have treated ourselves to an artificial one and here is is waiting for the elves to arrive  :-)

So folks, that's it from me today.  My heaving 'to do' rail is calling me to clear it [....again!] so I shall pop over to see what you've been up to in my coffee breaks....if I can fit one in :-)  Please leave me a little hello comment before you pop over to join in the WOYWW fun at Julia's blog and here's hoping you all have a really great week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Hi Annie. Happy WOYWW! Love everything you've been making and I'm especially fascinated by what you'll be making from the WW publication. Is it on sale in newsagents? I spied Angelina Ballerina and both Mia and Livi are crazy about her so if I can get the magazine then the knitting needles could be flying here over the festivities while all those old films are replayed. The cards look gorgeous – I feel the urge to drag my sewing machine out in the New Year!! Di xx

You are a marvel woman -come on admit it you have a time machine or something and you get twice as much done as the rest of us in a normal day?......
I'm feeling pretty ok at the moment to, on top of the Christmas makes and the housework. Christmas tress is up. Little fella is rather poorly (not conventionally he bounces for a while then has to curl up and admit defeat. He is a little less demanding on my time at the moment though!
Are stockings are all waiting to be filled :)

Yeah, I can see that 9.95 comic being a really good investment for you. For me, not so much!! Love the idea of a heaving to do rail - while you're busy with that, gives the rest of us mortals a chance to catch up!!

Lovely festive post and love the knits. The buttons do look good and I'm so pleased! I must have a real good study of all those toys.
I've just made a stocking for Germany and have 2 more to make for the Brighton Belles. Love making them.

Hi Annie, wow, you have been a busy lady. The Robin card looks lovely, look forward to seeing the ribbon ones.
Every year it creeps up on us, we think we have so much time to complete our preparations and then we end up in a big rush. I've come on line for a break and to see what everyone is up to. Thank you for a lovely post, I've enjoyed reading it.

Wow Annie you certainly are very busy lol. I can't wait to see the next batch of christmas cards as the sari ribbon looks fab. Loving everything your creating, the comic looks good, I've started crocheting (ok learnt 2 stitches so far) and bought some mags, I'm trying to crochet those little flowers you can buy for card embellishment, I'm afraid I have a way to go yet lol lol. Your fabric Christmas cards are looking fab. Everything is on hold in our house at present. Not sure if the tree and decorations will make it down from the loft this year. Hugs Mrs A.

I love that you wait for the elves to do your tree! That pattern book is a real bargain, I used to get my Mum to knit things like that for my kids!
Happy WOYWW, have a fabulous, creative day, Debxx #104

Christmas trees should always be decorated by little elves, preferably in the brightest colours possible, with no preconceived design. That is the fun. Hope they have a wonderful time.

Hi Annie I am looking forward to seeing your cards. I hadn't seen that publication from W Weekly. I have the Angelina Ballerina pattern as it was in WW magazine a while back and I have started it but it is in the to finish pile. I find it difficult making time to do things - there always seems to be something else I have to do. Thankyou for visiting my blog and I do hope to finish everything on my desk and the two cakes I mentioned. Anne x

That is a cute cardi there. Trying to knit a secret hat for my man but proving difficult!
We went over to fake trees after we threw one out after 4 days and it cost a small fortune. I burn Yankee candles to get the scent!!
Hoping my big Elf gets a moveon in the Dining room (decorating) so I can start to think about decorating with deccies!!
Have fun!

Busy enough to put me to shame. I've been busy but not really crafting. It feels like withdrawal :) And oh, I see Angelina there. {sigh} was a day I would have been on that like jam on toast. It makes me quite nostalgic thinking back to the days of Angelina and Thomas. Now it's all Justin Bieber and Starcraft. Anyone see a Bieber doll to knit? Life size maybe? :D

Just had a look at the cards you made from the Sari silk. Such a clever lady you are! Love the stockings too. No Christmas tree for us this year as we are going on holiday over Christmas, so there reaqlly is no point. Makes me a bit sad though.
Happy belated WOYWW
