Last bit of summer and another night in hospital...

I wanted to capture the last bit of summer so here is a quick collage of the last bits of colour around our garden that I snapped yesterday.  The hollyhocks have been really beautiful this year and the little bees were still enjoying the last few summer blooms.

For those awaiting updates on M....she was admitted to hospital again last night in a lot of pain but was found to still be only 1cm dilated so they put her to sleep again with pethidine.  They have found lots of protein in her wee now and have done blood tests for pre-eclampsia....we should know more later.  Oh to be a mum eh?  Such an anxious time and more so cos I know too much, being a midwife.  Let's hope those little twinnies decide to come out to play very soon.

Latest news...
M has just text me to say the Dr has done his round and he is not concerned about the protein in her wee cos the blood results have come back clear.  That's brilliant news but bless her yet again they are sending her home once the pethidine has worn off.  Have a feeling she is getting a little fed up of having all the pain and getting nowhere fast.

A change of mind....
Oh no she isn't!! It's now 7 o'clock and they have decided to keep her in over night again to monitor her contractions!! she is totally fed up and bored.  Keep everything crossed girls please.

  4. Phew, those babies sure seem cosy where they are. I woke up early this morning wondering if there was any news - at least the wee tests came back clear :) Not too long long I hope until they take their first curtain call! Gorgeous photos too. Love and hugs, Di xx

  5. Ooh what a time of it you are all having! There's so much a (selfish) part of me that hopes she lasts to her inducement day as its my birthday and that would REALLY make it special but I totally understand that it is far too far away for her!!

Ive been trying to keep away so as not to bother you too much as I can only imagine what it must be like!

So lovely to see the girls having a play with wedding stationery ideas, its always great to play!

This week is no doubt going to be another filled with anticipation, excitement and the odd contraction or three!

Thinking of you all Annie and sending you all big big hugs!!

  6. Thanks for the update - she's certainly got us all sitting on the edge of our seats in anticipation.

Glad that the hospital have their eyes on her in these last few days. Won't be long now surely - the last few days are always the hardest even with one little passenger.

    Best wishes, F

  9. Bless her, I hope the twins arrive soon. I remember every single speed bump in the road we drove over when I was sent back and forth to the hospital when I had my Twiglet !

  13. Thank you for all your lovely comments everyone! Just checking in from my hospital bed. They are starting to get a bit worried about preclampsia so keeping close eye on me. Guess I'm in the right place here and the bed is more comfortable than mine! :-)
