WOYWW...

It was our 41st Wedding Anniversary on Monday so we have enjoyed celebrating it together....it seems like only yesterday!!

It's been a quieter week with sewing this week with everyone being on Easter holidays so I've been using my time crocheting worms :-)

I wanted something to do while watching the telly so searched out the worry worm pattern and poem on Pinterest and have been having fun crocheting one in every colour of wool I could find in my box...they are now all packaged up ready to go on the craft stall to sell for the Harry Johnson trust.

For Lulu's 13th birthday Mark and Gina bought Lulu this gorgeous crochet kit hoping the lesson I had given her would have taught her enough to use it.

Of course she loved it and since then, whilst on her Easter holidays, Lulu has sent me a daily update as to what she was crocheting....her granny square has now grown into quite a blanket....I'm soooo proud of her that she has been able to tackle it alone.

I sent Phoebe the link of how to make a worry worm and she's been having lots of fun making some....they are tricky to do but each one she makes gets a little better from the previous one....I love how creative both girls are.

That's all from me for today.  I hope you've had a creative week too.  If you leave me a little  message I will pop over to see what you've been up to this week.

Hugs,

Annie x

I’hadn’t heard of Worry Worms before, they’re great fun and must be quick to make up - the girls’ attempts are really good, much better than mine would be and the Granny square blanket is fabulous. I’m so glad they’re enjoying crocheting!
Hope you had a good anniversary, you’re five months ahead of me and G!

Well done girls! there'll be no stopping you now. I prefer crochet to knitting, I find it's much quicker and I don't always need a written pattern.
Sorry to hear there won't be any Steampunk Festival photos . . . I can wait!! lol
Have a good week

Happy 41st wedding anniversary, Annie. I hadn’t heard of worry worms but they look cute with their poem. How wonderful to have young relatives learning to crochet! I love my nostepinne. It’s apparently originally a Scandinavian tool. A young man would make one for his fiancΓ© to show her he was a good woodworker. It makes great centre- pull balls of wool.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Those worry worms look kinda cute, especially in all those different colours! How lucky you are to have grandees who want to craft and who you share your knowledge with - though it sounds like they are already ok to go it alone! Congratulations again to you both on your anniversary and I hope the celebrations have been splendid as befits such a lovely couple. Love n hugs, Cindyxx

Never seen a worry worm before but they are gorgeous, love the rainbow of colours. They remind me of the tendrils on the octopus they make for premature babies. Lovely seeing the girls taking to crochet so well, super kit and amazing blanket. Hugs BJ#9

Happy Belated WOYWW. Yesterday was full of publishing software lessons and a worsening of symptoms (I actually took a Covid test, but thankfully it was negative). A beautiful sunny morning here in Pembrokeshire at the moment - forecast to get wet later - so I am up and typing, despite a fuzzy head due to medication. Loving your worry worms, and also your very clever grandchildrens' creations. Crochet to me is a dark craft. I have learnt the basics, but just can't get my brain and hands to function together. Happy Belated Wedding Anniversary too. Ali x #18
