This week's smiles...week 444

I'm here with some smiles today.  I'm running at about 60% energy levels but I'm getting there thankfully.  I can still nod off at the drop of a hat but I guess that is more to do with my age and recovery than anything else....we don't bounce back the same as we get older do we?

So here's my smiles for this week...

Theo had his first session at the forrest school this week and just loved it.  He's been a little gem Facetiming me too to see if I was better...It works like a tonic to see his smiling little face.

Whilst we've been poorly it was Stephen's 10th birthday.  Sadly we had to miss joining in the fun this year and his birthday presents were rather late but he said he was just glad to have us better....such a kind caring thoughtful boy.

Lulu had done tie dying at school and couldn't wait to send me a photo of the results.

Both Lulu and Phoebe have had commendation awards at school this week for their sewing....that sewing machine really has helped their confidence.  Their teachers were very impressed with their ability....so proud of them both.

Finally I thought this one would make you laugh.  This is me at the mo.  I saw the pic on Facebook and it seemed so appropriate I couldn't resist sharing it with you.

I must say a big thank you for all the lovely get well wishes from last week and for the gorgeous card that Angela sent me....I really do feel loved.

Hugs,

Annie x

Happy belated birthday to Steve. Sounds and lookslike he had a good birthday. Theo is a real doll and congrats to Lulu and Phoebe for their latest accomplishments. Glad to read you are feeling a bit better, too. 60% is better than last week! Have a great Friday and weekend, dear Annie.

So good to hear you are getting better. Please don’t overdo it as people who have had it say, recovery is slow.
Happy belated birthday Stephen. Looks like he had a fab party.
You certainly taught you granddaughters well, Lulu and Phoebe have the advantage on other children to have a sewing grandmother. I didn’t know they taught sewing at school anymore. Nor tie- dying for that matter. That is great.
I first heard about the forest school through you and I think it is such a wonderful thing for children to do. Is this a nationwide initiative? Or is it only where you live?
Have a lovely (relaxing) weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca

It's so lovely to see how your youngsters are growing up to be such caring, thoughtful and clever little souls. Glad you are a bit better - enjoy your birthday treats. xx Jo

Hi Annie, back from dog walking. Pleased you liked the card I just hoped it might cheer you up a bit though I bet your facetime with the children was even better. Lovely tie dye piece, it was always one of my favourite techniques to do with the children and they always enjoyed opening them up to see what the results were. The funny is brilliant, that could be me! I have always been the same I tend to get a sudden flush of inspiration at about 10pm and will work into the night but sometimes feel myself dropping off. I have been known to wake up still on the sofa with knitting needles still in position too. Hubby says he wont wake me as I get bad tempered when I am disturbed so he just leaves me. Take care and have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx

It is so good to hear you are feeling much better. Still a way to go so give yourself time to recover.
How nice that the children have sent messages and obviously care about how you are feeling.
I love the idea of forest schools. It was a new idea just getting launched when I left the education system.
Well done to the girls sewing. I still think tie-dying is fun.
I can relate to your funny too. I am always drifting off even when I am watching something I really wanted to see on TV!
I hope you continue to gain strength and energy. Kate x
