WOYWW.....

Hi all.  I'm showing my desk warts and all this week...

It's a case of what you see is what you get this week.  This is my sewing machine on the left of my desk that's set up for mask making and, as you can see, I've made a couple of Christmas ones....after I had made the ones I had on order.  My Luna Lapin rabbit is sat quietly in the back busy on her sewing machine.  On the right you can see the two school Memory bears I've made this week using my other sewing machine that you usually see that's set up on the right of my desk [out of shot]....I hadn't made any for a little while so I really enjoyed making these.  And that's about all I have to share with you creatively for today.

It's been a week of trips to the hospital for blood tests and sadly my diabetes is not well controlled at the moment so the blood tests have then been followed by phone calls from my Dr to get further medication sorted out....I have the diabetic nurse paying me a visit some time soon.  I'm hoping they help me sort it out soon cos I'm feeling rather thirsty and very tired and would like my get up and go back.....It's not how I want to feel when I have a birthday at the end of the week.

  1. I hope your get up and go finds its way to you very soon, it must be miserable to feel weary all the time... let's hope your diabetes is controlled very soon. I have made quite a lot of masks for my choir... who started back to (socially distanced) rehearsing last night for the first time since about March! I didn't actually go but joined in via ZOOM.
I saw some masks on Facebook with Musical signs printed on them and thought I might have a go, as I have some of that special transfer paper, so I could print a design on to some fabric for the masks! Just maybe!
Have a good day and stay safe!

  4. What a pain about your diabetes, I hope that the new meds and tests help immediately. G hasn't been seen by anyone re his Type 2, not even contacted. I hope that a rest will help you feel better too. The Christmas masks are fun, if I can get to Carmarthen before lockdown on Friday I might buy some Christmas fabric.
Wishing you an early Happy Birthday!

  5. I don't see any warts, Annie - that's actually a very tidy workstation - compared to mine, anyway. Lovely to see the rabbits waiting patiently for their turn! So sorry to hear about your diabetes. Is it not the type you can reverse? I've heard stories of people reversing their type II through lifestyle changes. I'm trying to eat less bread myself as I think I'm at risk too, especially now that I stopped walking to work like I used to - but I so enjoy working from home instead! Hope they can get it under control and you can get on with doing things you enjoy. xx zsuzsa #13

  6. Hi Annie. Well, I have hunted high and low... but I can't find those darned warts anywhere. Hope you have managed to completely lose them! Great little bears and a fun rabbit there at her sewing machine. Trust you get your get up and go back soon, and that any new meds will soon kick in. Have a very special birthday.
    Take care. God bless.

  8. Hi Annie,
I am really sorry that you’re feeling so poorly! I am praying you’ll have a really clever nurse come to visit who’ll figure out what the issue is for you. Maybe a diet reset.
I find that’s often my troubles, going back to basics... that and insufficient sleep which is a constant struggle. But your get up and go, getting up and going is no fun at all.
Lovely crafty space, that’s a really beautiful Bernina machine too. I’ve a rather ancient (1995) but sturdy and durable Bernette ... a cheaper version of Bernina.
Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

  18. Sorry to hear about the diabetes, Annie. Type 2 diabetes can definitely be reversed by adopting a whole-food plant-based lifestyle. Google it and there's plenty of info. "Forks Over Knives" is a film that can be obtained from the website of the same name, and also PlantPure Nation which is on YouTube, to name a couple. There are loads of incidents of people coming off all medication and returning to normal.

Nice to know that the rabbits are also helping with the sewing!

    Happy WOYWW,
