I've just been checking back and do you know that I've been writing smiley posts since January 2013? What a lot of smiles it's been, the numbers of those joining in have gone up and down over the years but even still that's an amazing amount of smiles....keep up the good work folk. There's more than enough bad news in the world so lets do our little bit of spreading some happiness between us.
My smiles today.....
This gorgeous photo of my darling hubby with our youngest grandson, Theo. As you can see there's a lot of love between them both and I simply love this photo.
Here's our eldest two granddaughters, Phoebe and Lulu at their Brownie camp treat for the end of the term sitting around the camp fire.
And finally for this week here's a collection of photos of the flowers in our little wild flower area that we planted for the bees and insects....and although you can't see them in the pics there has been many enjoying the blooms....these photos were taken yesterday when the temperatures had dropped a little and we even had a little rain in the morning.....you could almost hear the plants sucking up every drop that fell.
That's all from me for today. Please leave me a little message and do you best to share a few smiles too by linking them below.
Hugs,
Annie x
Hi Annie, I'm back from the Gym and going out to see friends this afternoon and Doncaster Racecourse tomorrow for the crafting so should be lots of smiles to come. Bet you're pleased it's cooled down a little too. Loving all your photos today and wishing you a lovely weekend too. Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos - Theo is growing so fast! Lovely flowers - they are drooping a bit in the heat here but lovely all the same. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo of Theo with his Grandad! I am glad the girls had a good Brownie camp. Camp-fires are such fun. Unfortunately we are not allowed to have open fires from May until October, because of the risk of them spreading while everything is so dry.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have a wild flower garden. Many of them are just as beautiful as the cultivated flowers, but the bees and butterflies are so happy to find them. Of course your plants are not used to being without rain for long, so I am sure they wee happy to have a little morning shower.
I hope the nice weather lasts for the start of the school holidays. Love Kate xx
My comment I made this morning seems to have disappeared! Never mind. It was there to tell you how I like the photo of hubby and Theo. Indeed it oozes the love between them.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the photo of Phoebe and Lulu. I'm glad they still do things like that. I used to be a brownie when I was a child and I loved the camps and the campfires, singing and doing adventure games and learning about nature. At least the camkp fire is still happening. I don't know about camping... too risky? Not healthy? They might get wet and muddy!
Your flowers are gorgeous. Ah, the weather has turned? I suppose you now need a bit of rain and also respite from all that heat.
The weather here is hot every day and it will continue to be so until the end of september. Even in Oct and Nov through to Dec we still have sunny days and we can sit outside in the daytime in sunny spots. (We normally have Christmas dinner on the terrace)
Have a good week,
Hugs,
Lisca
Hi Annie, I love that photo of Dod and Theo - guaranteed to make everyone smile. The girls are growing up - I hope they enjoyed their time round the camp fire. Lovely shots from your garden. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Elizabeth xxx
