WOYWW...

Here we are at another weekly catch up with all those exposed desks.  Mine seems to be much of the same each week at the mo.  I am getting a steady flow of sewing jobs for my customers but when it comes to my creative time in between I'm struggling.....Mr Mojo has gone on holiday and I really can't wait for him to come back.  I've really tried to make a start on a new project but it just won't come so I fall back onto some fairly mindless creating to fill my spare time....I can't sit idle.  My moto for life is to make every day count so even if they don't sell I will donate them to make money for charity.

So this is my desk for today...

It's three more eye spy quilts in the making.  I just need to cut wadding and backings now for them so I can get them quilted and finished.  I've sold one so far and if you zoom in you will see there is the two completed ones folded on the top of the boxes behind by my blind hemmer and overlocker. My creativity will go as far as choosing fabrics and spacing the squares evenly over the quilt but that's about it.  I plan to get these finished then pull out fabrics, threads and maybe even wool rovings to see if I can summon up some enthusiasm to make something.

Short and sweet for today.  I hope very soon I will have something a little more creative to share with you.  Thanks for calling in each week and leaving me such lovely comments [especially Sarah Brennan who I visit each week but am unable to leave comments....google+!!!].
Hugs,
Annie x

  2. Aww I find it hard to believe you've lost your mojo with all you do Annie. Ask Milly to help you she's bound to inspire you haha.
I'll message you in a minute about an eye spy quilt I'd like for a friend

  3. Losing your mojo is sitting and watching tv or something - you certainly do not lose yours when you produce wonderful things like those eye spy quilts. Don't forget you are altering clothes and things for other people and bringing pleasure to them. I know I certainly have enjoyed my new wardrobe since visiting a certain lady who has a dog called Millie.
    Keep smiling

  5. A little more creative? Good grief woman..everything you do and show is creative! The quilts are so lovely, bet they're hard to hold in stock for long. Don't worry about the mojo...prolly exhausted from coming up with ideas for how to work out what the customers want!

  6. I think you're doing the right things just noodling along with projects until Mr Mojo decided to put in an appearance again. It happens with me as well, I'm making a lot of straightforward things as I haven't the inclination to try something new at the moment. But that's ok, we'll be fine!

  14. I wish I was as productive with no mojo.... love the quilt. You're not as late visiting as I am, as work keeps getting in the way. we were just too high up to be caught on camera (and not near the royal box after all!) Helen #7

  16. Pleased to hear you're so busy, that's great. I'm late today too and will probably have to do the rest tomorrow as I went to the gym this morning, did some crafty stuff and before I knew it was time to go out. Been to hear my friend singing in the choir so by the time I got home the day was just about over. Thanks for the visit to mine and have a great WOYWW, Angela x9x

  18. Hi Annie, you couldn't be any later than me this week! I'm enjoying seeing your 'eye spy' patchwork each week - I think they are such a great idea. If only I could find the same enthusiasm to make one myself but it's not going to happen any time soon. Hope you find buyers for the two quilts already finished. Hugs, Ellie #24

  19. Hi Annie,

The quilts look darling! I might actually do a bit of sewing now that I'll be retired. Fabric is kind of like paper -- so many beautiful patterns there and it's so addicting. I need a yard of this and a yard of that......

Your mojo will turn up on it's own schedule. Don't try to force anything. If I do that I get frustrated.

    Many hugs,
    Kay (28)
