Hello all. Happy Wednesday to you. Here we are at another fun catch up with all our creative buddies from around the world. I love my Wednesdays.
So you're here to see what's on my desk this week aren't you? Here you go...
I've been busy in between the shortening of trousers etc cutting out and making up little Memory bears from two little girl's first babygros.....I'm thrilled to say the orders for my Memory bears are coming fast and furious...everything from first baby memories to memories of a much loved Mum's clothing.
Here are my latest two, now finished, sitting on my table with the two I made to perfect my pattern. I'm rather chuffed how they have turned out too.
The other thing I've been working on this week is an Advent Calender for our next Grandson....due in under a month now. [Excited!!!!] I've made Advent calenders for all my Grandchildren so was keen to get one ready for him.....will show you more when it's finished and Mark and Gina have seen it.
The other things sitting on my desk today that I'm really excited over
are a stack of ribbons that has just arrived through my door and.....
....some packs of interfacing ready to use for my next Memory bears.....the interfacing stabilises the stretch fabrics of the babygros if you're wondering. I'm sure you wont be as excited as me to see these but I share your excitement when you share new papers or stamps :-)
There you go. That's my desk, now show me yours. Leave me a little message to let me know you've called by and I will do my best to pop over to see what you're sharing as soon as I'm able.
Hugs,
Annie x

Happy WOYWW. I love your memory bears. Such a sweet thing to treasure. I am sharing your excitement of the ribbons and interfacing. I get excited by every stash delivery, whether it is paper or fabric related. Ali x #12
ReplyDeleteSharing your excitement Annie. When I was making the bag for my Misti I was faced with all kinds of interlining and not a clue what any of it was. Must get my friend to identify it all when she comes up and put labels on it so I know which to use for what.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased for you that the bears are going well but remember there are arrangements to be made for me to pop along with the trousers (and other stuff) pretty darned soon.
Love the new advent calendar - such an exciting time for you all.
Hugs, Neet xx 11

ReplyDeleteOh so glad those ribbons have arrived - we will need them when we practise our rhythmic gymnastics - hope your leotard is clean!
ReplyDeleteI adore your bears they are gorgeous. You've just reminded me that I need to get some pelmet Vilene. I have a project I want to do and I need the heavy stuff. There you see I am excited Annie! Nice ribbon too. I bet Milly will really enjoy playing with that! Thanks for the visit to mine and wishing you a great woyww, Angela x 16
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. You sure keep busy with so many projects. Lovely bears. I also enjoyed my catch up visit. Your grands are really growing and so very cute. School started here yesterday and today, so all the moms are busy adjusting. High humidity slows me down. Over 5 inches of rain the past few days. Enjoy a lovely week
ReplyDeleteThose bears are just precious! I don't sew at all, so I have an even more fondness for them and what you do! Love the thoughts behind your giving! Blessings for the rest of the week! :) Felicia #32
ReplyDeleteYour bears are very cute. I'm just getting back into sewing stuffed animals for my granddaughters.

Hi Annie, I'm not much of a sewer, but I did wonder how you kept the stretchy babygro fabric under control, lol. And the arrival of any crafting stuff is something to get excited over, I agree. Met the surgeon, really nice guy. Told us pretty much what we already knew, so no surprises, which is good! Intends to do the surgery end of September, beginning of October, so have to wait and see for the crop. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #3xxx
ReplyDeleteyour memory bears are gorgeous! I quite like your pile of interfacing! the ew grandson's advent calendar will be beautiful - more memories being created there! Happy WOYWW Helen #1
ReplyDeleteI do share your excitement at your new stash arrivals - the things you can use them for! I've foolishly suggest to my niece that she might like to make a memory bear with her son's fave babygros, and I get the feeling I'm going to be asked to make it for her.... oops.... There are some lovely patterns out there.

I'm very late, but at last I'm here. Love the pic of Millie and Myrtle having a chat! I'm fascinated to see the interfacing order, love to see the backstage part of the work that you put in...I did wonder about baby grows as a fabric - all that stretch - youre a bit of a genius really, huh.
