This week's smiles....week 130

Happy Friday to one and all.  Really hope you've all had a good week and have lots of smiles to share with us all today.  Thanks to those who joined in last week by linking their smiles here so others could share them....please join in as often as you are able cos the world can never have too many smiles.

I'm featuring Michelle's blog over in Ontario.  It never fails to make me smile that we can link up to so many places around the world just at the click of a button.  Michelle shared a pic of a little visitor she'd had at work....a little groundhog had joined her to eat the bread she had put out.....Isn't he cute?  Thanks Michelle for linking up and sharing your smiles.

My smiles this week have been many so here's a few pics to share with you...

This is a collage of pics that I snapped during a fun day looking after Amy's three last Saturday [you should be able to click on the pic if you want a closer look].  What a fun day we had too.  We popped to the Ironworks near Oswestry in the morning and the kids loved all the huge animals on display as you can see.  In the afternoon we went to Attingham Park for a walk to the wonderful play park there.....lots of fun and laughter was had by all......needless to say Sunday was spent mainly sleeping hehehehe....it's easy to forget how much energy you need to look after three active children.  :-)

 Building update...

The concrete has been put in the footings and all the building materials have arrived this week ready to make a start but we were rained off this week so hopefully the builders will get back next week to start building.

As you can see the rain didn't stop outdoor play at Amy's.  The girls are all togged up in their wellies and waterproofs and are having a great time.  :-)

The last pic is of yet another little treasure that's popped up in our back garden.  There are lots of these that have sprung up but this is the first to bloom.  Isn't it pretty.....Love in a Mist I think?

There you go....I've shown you mine now please show us yours and join in the fun by linking up your smiles of the week.
Hugs,
Annie x

  1. Good morning Annie. I certainly know how tiring those grandchildren can be :-) very enjoyable though as well:-) Hope building is progressing again - we are still waiting for outside of our house to be painted! Rain certainly doesn't seem to stop the children - or adults at times! My friends and I battled through it last Sunday - and bought plenty of plants between us:-) x

  2. Oh I love your 'Love in the mist'.
I also went over to Michelle's blog as I had to find out what a groundhog was.... Now I know. One is never too old to learn.
I love those animal sculptures and the kids did too by the looks of it.
Thanks for a smiley post today. A good way to start my day. Now I have to do my exercises. (from a video as the gym is closed for the summer.... too hot)

  4. Happy Friday Annie - sounds like a full on day with the GK, but lots of fun, a super interesting park - lucky we can rest up when they go home to their mum and dad. Annoying rain but with all the materials arrived the workmen can get right onto the building - you must be so excited. Have a wonderful weekend Hugs Robyn ps love your poppy header pic

  5. I am so jealous....I have tried several times to grow Love in a Mist but it never stays long.
Exciting times with the building. Hopefully with today's weather you will get some done.
Don't the girls look great. Singing in the Rain one of my favourite films.

  8. Hi Annie, lovely to join in again this week and to see that fabulous collage of photos of your grandchildren having such fun. And the one of the two girls in their rain gear is lovely. The love-in-the-mist is so pretty and will continue to look great even when the petals have gone. I popped over to see Michelle's groundhog. One of my favourite films to enjoy over winter is Groundhog Day - have watched it so many times - and think it must be great to have a visit from one :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  10. Happy Friday Annie! Another fun grouping of photos. The 2 girls ! just as cute as can be. Happy to see the start of the addition and that lovely flower. But your grouping of summer fun is the best. Not long and school will start. Have a wonderful weekend.

  12. I have linked as you suggested Annie, but am a bit embarrassed as its going to be hard to visit many of smiles! Love the pics of the girls playing in the rain, gotta work off that energy somehow.....seems you've hit on the how...keep em outside and active all day! Those giant animals are amazing and well, giant!

  13. I can see you had lots of fun with the little ones on Saturday. I love the poppies on your header, and the love-in-the-mist. Dad always had those in the garden. I think their real name is Nigella, but we called them love-in-the-mist, and I like that a lot better. I used to get told off for picking the seed heads and shaking them in all the wrong places! I hope the rain goes away so the builders can get started this week. Kate x
