Hi folks. Here we are at another Wednesday when we all link up our creative spaces over at Julia's at the Stamping Ground....if you still don't know what it's all about then pop over there to find out more and join in the weekly fun.
I've had a busy week with my sewing...some for customers but mostly for myself :-) I've now completed the 4 tops that I cut out a few weeks back...
Here's the three I made this week.....not very good pics sorry. They are all pintucked down the the fronts [machine sewn for those that asked] and the blue one on the right of the pic even has machine embroidered detail over the pintucks.
Isn't it funny that the warmer fabrics all tend to be plainer, darker and at most with checked patterns.
Because of the lack of colour in the warmer tops I am now enjoying cutting out some summer tops in pretty floral fabrics...this one as you can see is pink and turquoise and at the back of the photo you might be able to see some lilacs, navy and other pretty colours.
Roll on warmer weather eh?
So folks that's it from me for today. What you been up to this week? Leave me a little hello comment so I know you've called by and I will pay you a visit to check out what's going on in your work space. Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
I'm exhausted Annie looking at what you get through in a week. I'll have to go for a lie down haha

Such a lot of hard work gone into each one Annie. Fab. x Jo
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty fabric for your summer tops and I love the thoughts of the pin tucking.
ReplyDeleteGuess you keep needing to make tops with losing weight - hope it is still going alright.
Hugs, Neet 26 xx
yes please Annie, lots of warmer weather, as soon as poss! You must be able to make these tops with your eyes closed...three in a week, good grief! I've read elsewhere that you're off out to play - have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteOh, Annie. I need to go lie down - I'm exhausted just reading all you have achieved this week! Ever thought of going on the Great British Sewing Bee? Your pin tucked tops are great. Love the stitching on top of the tucks...
ReplyDeleteThanks for already visiting. Yes, it was a really special treat to gout together. The only other places I have been since Christmas are Asda and the church building!! So a meal out was sheer bliss - and a craft demo to boot!!!
Take care my friend. Have a good grandies day.
God bless.

Beautiful! My mom used to sew when I was young, and I learned. However, it's not something I do often these days. Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteWow pintucks and machine embroidery even:) I have no patience..you are a saint! The floral fabric looks like Spring so I hope it shows up for you soon :) Shel-PaperOctilloStudio #42
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great day with your 5 grandies.
ReplyDeleteYour tops are lovely. I used to sew when I was young (self taught) and it might be a good idea to start doing it again as I really love those tops. They hide a 'multitude of sins' as they say.
Thanks for stopping by earlier,
God bless,

I'm ready for the bright colors, warm days and no wind..It is so cold here -20 with wind chill, you just can't be outdoors. No ambition to really be creative either. You amaze me at how much you get done from week to week. Enjoy your new items. And have a fun week
ReplyDeleteI'm fed up with cold weather too and it wasn't even that cold when you think about it... great tops though, you've managed so much! Helen #6
ReplyDeleteHow do you do it? You get so much done each week :-) Love your pretty fabrics. Good to look forward to pretty things and Spring and warmer weather. Anne x #65
ReplyDeleteOh I am sew sorry there is no sewing for you to see today. Not got it back out from when my Buddy was coming round. However, I am handsewing downstairs but I cannot show that in public yet as it is part of a challenge with our quilting group. One of my group does look at my blog...usually on Friday!

Love those tops. I do love a beautiful pintucked tunic. Of course, I didn't know pintuck was the term for it until now. You've taught me something! Thank you. Now I know. I appreciate that.
