WOYWW.......

Happy Wednesday to you all.  I've been a busy bee since we had our last snooping day.  We spent the weekend finishing off the new front garden by planting lots of plants I took from cuttings from our old house.  They are fairly small plants as yet but they will grow, cost us nothing and how lovely to have brought some of our family home to our new little bungalow.

This didn't leave a lot of time for crafting/sewing over the weekend and as Mondays I take and fetch the twinnie munchkins from pre-school and then have them all day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays it will be Thursday before I get much done but I do have a progression to show you on what I'm busy with on my work desk.

Do you remember the cord, wooden beads and chop sticks from last week?.....

Well, some of the beads have been paired up and strung together on some of the cord.

Some more of the beads have been linked using more cord and attached to crosses made from the chop sticks.

Do you know what it is going to be yet?

One set has progressed rather further and looking  more like I'm getting there....I bet these will give you a better idea what I'm making.....if you haven't guessed already then by next week things will hopefully be more recognisable but I will keep you waiting til then.

The other good news I'm sharing today is that another of my customers from our old house has now found me with sewing and I have yet another coming tomorrow too.....it's coming slowly but business will pick up in the New Year when I hope to get an advert in a local church magazine that reaches 3500 houses!! :-)

So that's it from me for this week.  Please leave me a comment with your Linky number and I will pop over to pay you a return visit as soon as I'm able.

Hugs,
Annie x

Glad more work is coming your way and that you are planting some of your old place in your new one. What a lovely idea.
I had a little Christmas tree in one house and transferred it to another and then to this one - it is now gi-normous! Love having it still with me.

  10. Puppets! Moving is always unsettling even if it's a dream move. We moved three months ago and it's still a work in progress. This time next year I am sure it will feel like home though. Hope the sewing picks up for you. :)

So cool that you're planing up the new place with cuttings from the old...sort of doing that myself with my pot plant garden. You'll have to show us some pics in the future as the garden develops. 19. Those puppets look fun, what a great imagination.
Teh front garden sound good, hope you will show us some pics as it all grow and make you feel at home in your new home.
Thanks for popping by my desk and yes I am feeling much better, just a croaky voice now.
It is interesting what people pick up from other people's desks, I had to look back to see the blue on mine, and realised that actually there is only blue card on the guillotine, blue packet of the baby wipes and a blue disc holder, for stamps, on the windowsill. but blue clearly struck achord with you.
    Bless you

  22. Good news on the customer front..when I opened my shop and people questioned my choice of location, instead of talking about home, rent, rates etc...I just used to tell them that if I was any good, the customers would travel if they had too. It's true. So I understand the pleasure at seeing old customers in your new home!
I'm getting the cord the balls and the chopsticks now - how much fun these will be. I still have mine..and actually, one of my friends used to be a painter for Pelham Puppets which is still just down the road from here!

  23. Hi Annie,

Are they called marionnets? Puppets? The last photo was definitely a giveaway!

How nice to be able to bring clippings from your old home to your new home. What a great idea. I had a beautiful, mature lilac bush at my last residence and when I drove by one day I noticed that the new owners had torn the whole thing out! My heart ached for the beautiful plant.

I'll be linking up with you tomorrow!

I've had my Thanksgiving meal so it was a perfect time to visit desks - either that or take a nap!!

Thank you for visiting me already! Happy belated WOYWW

  24. How totally cool! You are a crafty one:D I also spy a Bernina in the background! Now don't gasp or anything but I just sold my Bernina 1630 on ebay! I know, I know, but at this point in my life I would never ever have believed this but I have fallen in love with a 1918 hand crank Singer sewing machine! I have also learned I like hand sewing!!! I've been eyeing some of my WIP quilts that haven't been touched for, well let's just say they are in much need of some attention! giggle!
