Happy Friday folk. It's been another busy week here at Sewing by Annie's and as always I have enjoyed lots of smiles. Lots of you joined in last weeks smiles and I would like to thank you all for making the effort....it really does make the world a happier place.
I am featuring a blog this week that hit the spot with me. You can imagine how many threads I have here to run my business but it never fails to make me smile when I see the gorgeous rainbow colours of a drawer of threads. I'm sure if you pop over to Elizabeth's blog her neatly organised drawer will make you smile too.....thanks for sharing it Elizabeth.
My smiles include this pair this week...
Our two little cairn terriers Wispa and Rocky are sat keeping us company while my hubby fits boarding on our new shed floor...they are sitting close together on the first fitted board and I think they know where it's safest while the hammer and other tools are being swung around. :-)
As you know these two always feature in my smiles because they give me so many reasons to be happy.
They are playing for the first time with our lego. It's the big box of lego my children had when they were little so it gave me so much to smile about watching the twins learn what they could make with it.
This photo needs a little explanation....
The twins were watching a Father Christmas dvd where he goes away on his holidays before the big day. He goes to France first but eats the French food and ends up with tummy ache so his next stop was Scotland.
Lexi was watching this very carefully and straight away said.." Scotland? Oh Nanny that's where Meredith lives".
I asked who Meredith was and she searched her toy box and showed me this dolly....it's one of her Disney dolls but not one I knew so I googled it. Meredith features in the film called Brave but she has never seen this film and it is set in the Scottish Highlands!!! It's very easy to forget Lexi is only 3 and I have a feeling she has been here before. :-)
My last smile I am sharing with you for this week is something Sam said at pre-school this week. When I collected them the teacher called me in with a smile on her face. She said she had been chatting to Sam while he was eating his lunch and mentioned that I would be along later to pick him up. His reply was...."I love my Nanny, she's a bit crazy you know!!!".....out of the mouths of babes as they say. :-)
That's my smiles for this week.....I'm sure something here will have made you smile too so please share your smiles by linking them up below and I will pop over to yours when I get a minute.
Hugs,
Annie x
Rocky and Wispa are the cutest. And I'm sure you know Toto was a Carin Terrier. Any time I can reference the Wizard of Oz, it puts a smile on my face. The city I live in has "the yellow brick road" running through it. There's even a sign at the city limits declaring it, too.
ReplyDeleteLexi is getting SO grown up. She looks so mature in the Lego photo. And I had to laugh at Sam's comment.
Thanks for featuring my thread drawer as the blog of the week. This week's should REALLY put a smile on your face. And it will show I'm not a seamstress like you and Jo.
I'm off to bed now, because I've been up over 44 hours and I'm not as young as I used to be. I think I'm on a sugar high from two (yes, TWO) slices of Thanksgiving pumpkin pie.
Have a wonderful Friday and smile all through the weekend, dear friend.
Love that the munchkins are playing with "big kids" lego... I used to play for hours with it with my brother and sister too.. as we all did I guess! Love both Sam and Lexi. You go, Crazy Nanna!
ReplyDeleteOh Bless. I do love your little four legged friends. Dobby would be there with his nose on the nail!!
ReplyDeleteSo Crazy ey? Haa Haa! He knows you so well!
Hugs
xx
Ha ha - I didn't tell him to say that- honest!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Annie...I loved Elizabeth idea too and this week you've got two pairs of cuties to share with us. Your pups are very good to sit quiet there and watch that the building's done right. More building in the living room with the lego block, yes lots of fun there. Oh I am so sure teachers hear all sort of 'interesting' comments...you crazy nan, you!! hugs for Friday smiles cheers Robyn
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, another smiley post today. Love your little dogs - both cute and clever. As are the twins! And how much Lego - there's years of play in that amount :) Oh, and you crazy? Out of the mouth of babes indeed :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeletePS: yes, it's my birthday tomorrow and it's making me feel unbelievably old right now!
Oh annie so much to mike about but the best but has to be about you being a little bit crazy..... Kids eh! Don't miss much so they hehe

Your two adorable dogs made me smile, so cute, but so astute too. Then of course I come to the munchkins - who could fail to smile at two such adorable children? And then of course there is Lexi with her tale of Scotland - but the biscuit has to be taken by her brother - crazy Nanny - priceless!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet xx
What an adorable post and pictures.
