WOYWW....

Here we are at another fun Wednesday when we can catch up with all our creative friends from all round the world....It's my favourite day of the week.  I'm pleased to hear Julia is being sensible and resting well and is making a good steady recovery....keep it up Julia :-)

For those that don't usually pop over on a Friday to see what has made me smile during the week you might like to scroll to the post below to see the pic....I just know a lot of you will find it familiar and it will certainly make you smile :-).....and it would be good to see more of you joining in the Friday fun too....all welcome.

I am well ploughed under with sewing now so will just quickly show you my bag that is now finished..

I'm rather chuffed with how it's turned out.  It's fully lined with a zipped pocket in the one side and a pocket for my phone to go in the other side.

I have a rail full of wedding/bridesmaid/flower girl dresses [5 now finished, 3 all pinned ready to do and 2 more yet to have their fittings]

I have a rail with 6 pair trousers on needing shortening.

And I have yet more of the dreaded curtains to do...I pair needing shortening, one curtain has been cut down the middle to make a small pair of curtains with and a pair of tie backs to make.

I'm sure you will be able to imagine just how busy I'm going to be doing all this but I do promise to do my best to pop over to say hello if you leave me a little message to let me know you've called by.
Hugs,
Annie x

  3. Goodness where do you get the time! I know my sewing is a bit on hold at the moment as we are looking after our youngest grandson full time until September, but even when I wasn't I don't think I could have tackled that lot. X

  7. Hi Annie,

Wow, I imagine your sewing machine might catch fire! So much going on.

Bad news, I got your ATC back in the mail yesterday because postage was 10 cents less. Bugger. I'll put in a new envelope and put two stamps on it so it will definitely get to you the second time around. I thought, really, it's costing me $1.30 to say it needed 10 cents more! Oh well.

Thank you for visiting me already.
    Happy WOYWW

  11. Wow - Annie. You sure are busy! Well done on finishing the bag - it's lovely, and I'm sure it will complete your wedding outfit. What a lot of finished and nearly finished goodies - and yes.... the dreaded curtains. I still have to hem my living room curtains - made them......oh! AGES ago - then life took over, and ....still no hems!
Thanks for visiting already and for your comment. I quite agree - the weather is indeed what makes our land so interesting. When we lived in Rhuddlan we reckoned that if you stood still you saw all four seasons in a day!!!
    Have a great week.

  15. Well you are going to be so busy this week with all those dresses to finish, and trousers to hem and curtains to do, but you still made time to do something for yourself. That bag is so special, as mother of the groom you are going to be star with that bag. Well done.
And don't worry about the curtain, I made some for our lounge when we first moved in and ten years later we decorated the room, and took down the curtains complete with pinned hems. They are now in the attic.
Enjoy the preparations for the wedding,

  23. I know you think I fell off the face of the earth, but in truth, I'm having lots of internet problems. I had intended to play along this Friday, but I only have time to show my index cards in case and before my computer shuts down. Seems it happens about every 20 minutes, lately.

I love the way your purse for the wedding turned out. You did an excellent job on it. Color me totally impressed.

And I can tell you are busy from the list of items that need sewing and hemming. Dreaded curtains indeed!
