This week's smiles...week 74

What a fab week we've had.  Lots of you joined in with sharing your smiles and this week I'm featuring Sam's post with the job application on it....It really made me chuckle Sam so thanks for sharing it.

My week has been full of Wedding loveliness....I've finished the alterations on my daughter-in-law to be's wedding dress and have already finished 3 of the bridesmaids dresses too. :-)  I've also nearly finished my clutch bag that I'm making to match my wedding outfit so it's been a really productive week.

The house moving fiasco has had some positive moves so we are really hoping to get contracts signed soon and then plan a moving date....still got everything crossed that nothing goes wrong this time. :-)

I've been searching pinterest looking for inspiration to encourage my mojo to come out to play and I found something that made me chuckle.....

Trust me when I say I have fabric that fits into every category :-) ....especially the one that says 'too pretty to use-keep for ever'!!!

I hope that made you smile too.  Thanks for calling by.  Please share your smiles too by linking them up below.
Hugs,
Annie x

  1. As someone who has been doing a lot of sewing during my hiatus, I found humor in this, probably more than you can imagine. Of course, I've never had that much fabric before. Don't get me wrong. I have lots of fabric. It's just not more than a few inches and always less than a yard. Regardless, this truly made me laugh, not just smile!! Happy Friday and have a great weekend, too. Fingers, toes, eyes crossed for you.

  2. He he that made me laugh and I love the fact that even though she (big assumption there) had the funny labelled sections it was still organised by colour. I wish it were mine :-)

  8. AH yes !Love it, pretty colors and cute little quips. I confess I am a hoarder of fabric and to that I now add lace and also embellishments for my mixed media projects. Thanks Annie...have a wonderful weekend. Off to visit my WOYWW, late but that's how life rolls.

  10. Hi Annie,

Oh, I can relate! I have both a small fabric and paper collection that fits right in here!

I hope the sale goes through this time and everything is signed and you get the key! Is this the same cottage?

I'm sorry I've been MIA for a while. Your ATC is finally in the mail!!!

    Hugs,
    Kay

  11. I'll bet every woman who stitches or is crafty has a cupboard or bins just like this ....but, minus the very cute and clever signage!! Maybe we could make our ow up for some fun... and ...a better place to store and keep the "good stuff" ....

  14. Oh Annie. That could just as easily be my shelves of paper. A quilting friend brings fat quarters to out Wednesday group to sell, and I just want to stroke them, like I do my papers! The ones she bring in were mostly bought for projects she didn't do, so I guess we are all the same.
I t would be nice to uncross these fingers and toes. I hope you sign on the dotted line soon! Kate x

  16. Hi Annie, That really made me laugh, out loud ... the cat is clearly wondering what can be causing so much mirth :) Although I've only recently started sewing again after a gap of some 20 years, I've very quickly amassed a pile of fabric that looks suspiciously like that photo!

Apologies, I seem to have boobed with my first link so had to try again ... hope you can delete it.

Glad to hear some positive news on the house move - hope it all goes swimmingly from now :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  17. Thanks Annie for your birthday wishes. I just didn't want a fuss and will have a meal with my DDs next time we're together. It's just another day and I am so lucky to have all I have and a precious family in good health.
Hope things are moving along for you... think of you so often.
