We have now reached 66 weeks of wonderful happy postings.....thanks to all that have taken part. Some pop in most weeks to join in and some only share now and then but I love them all. They make us smile and lift the spirits....and that's got to be good for us hasn't it?.....keep up the good work girls.
This week I am featuring Sylvia's blog with the latest addition to the new grandbabies in the blogging world....a huge welcome to little Savannah....isn't she just gorgeous? Thanks for sharing Sylvia.
I've been filling my days this week with positive thoughts to lift the 'moving house' gloom that has been hanging over us and have really needed to look no further than the gorgeous colours that surround us here in our garden. I have just popped outside and snapped away with my camera to share just a few of them with you....
I dare you not to be smiling now. :-)
There are blue bells, white bells, forget me nots [ my dad's fav flower and it would have been his 94th birthday on 17th April ], lilac, crab apple blossom, miniature daffs, pink double tulips, rosemary in full bloom and in the middle is the gorgeous raspberry ripple azalea that Jo bought us for our 32nd Wedding anniversary on April 17th [yes we got married on Dad's birthday :-) ]. What gorgeous colours eh? I have so much to smile about. I hope you will find a snap or two of what's making you smile this week and link them below to share yours with us.
Oh Annie just adore those flowers ... we really do have so much to smile about dont we?
ReplyDeleteLove the fact you remember your darling dad like that..

I am sorry dont join much, by Friday I feel bad about not commenting much and have heaps to return on my blog... but wanted to make effort this week, God bless your kind heart, Shaz in oz.x
Beautiful flowers Annie. I did enjoy seeing all the spring time blooms while I was back in UK. We have beautiful flowers too, but the colours tend to be brighter and harsher, and yours are so soft and pretty in comparison. Lilac is one of my favourites, and bluebells. We used to be able to walk through the bluebell woods as children (living in Surrey then) and gather armfuls of them. Of course they are all protected now, but they still evoke the memories. I am so sorry the house move is still not sorted. Thinking of you. Hugs. Kate x
ReplyDeleteIsn't this time of year just amazing. A real and joyful reawakening..your photos are lovely, your garden must be absolutely beautiful. So glad you're able to distract yourself from the house selling stuff for a while. I know it's always lurking, but it is nice isn't it, to have something else to think about for a while. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is fantastic. You bet I'm smiling. It's a sure cure for the house moving blues. And so many of these have such great memories, like the azalea.
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled I can join you again, now that each day's recycling tutorials has ended. I published my post, then promptly fell asleep. Better than linking before I could leave a comment, though. Saw your comment. I've never watched the show, either, but I know it's a BIG hit with many people I visit.
Have a super Friday and weekend, dear.
Beautiful display!
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've left the house for a few weeks this morning and I thought I'd offset the doctors needle with seeing some nice blossom and flowers on the journey but it's all grey and drizzly, so these pictures really have brightened my day

What a stunning garden you have! x Jo
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Annie! A real splash of Spring!
ReplyDeleteSorry the house move is grinding on, and on. It'll happen and am a big believer it's all for a reason!
Hugs, Di xx
What a plethora of lovely pics on here and not a twinnie amongst them!
ReplyDeleteSuper pics.
xx
Those beautiful flowers made me smile too. I love forget-me-nots too, and until last year had hundreds of them. For some reason they all vanished last year, so now I have a packet of seeds to scatter round the place to get flowers back for next Spring. I hope you are going to take some seeds to your new garden when you finally get there. the azalea would travel and live in a pot for a while. Have another positive week. xx Maggie
ReplyDeletewow Annie your garden must be a sight to behold, what gorgeous flowers and im glad they are keeping you feeling cheerful.

love the blast of colour Annie. Will you be taking some of the plants with you to your new home? Good luck with the selling too.
ReplyDeleteI've been busy making a little border under the front window. I forgot how much I love lilac though til i seen your photo. Managed daffs, azaelas, rosemary and lavender. Might try to squeeze a lilac into one of the corners lol.

It's not been a good week again here for mum's house move but the wonderful sight of my goddaughters smile as she joined in the St. George's parade filled my heart with joy Annie.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for a more positive week for all of us.
