Firstly I must thank you all for your efforts to join in my little quiz last week.....you will find the answer and the prize winners here in last Friday's post. Well done to the three who guessed the correct answer. These are what I posted out to them.... [hope they like them].
Three little hand made key fobs....just a bit of love and a thank you from me :-)
I've been in a Christmas making mode in my spare time this week so thought I'd do a quick show and tell as to what I've been up to....
The 6 cards I made from the blue fabric you saw 2 weeks ago....I'm rather pleased with these :-)
I've machine embroidered on the ribbons, added embellishments and appliqued on some baubles.
A hand embroidered Christmas tree to use for another card.
The same idea but this time on dark green fabric...what do you think? Cream or Green backgrounds best?
5 little gingerbread men to hang on the Christmas trees for my Grandchildren....I make them something different each year to hang on their trees.
And finally just a quick snap of some fun play with my Twinnie munchkins and Aunty Jo this week....they are so fascinated by all the different buttons Nanny Annie's got...and these were just one small box of them lol.
It's been another busy week for me as always but I will do my best to pop by to say hello when I get a minute. Thanks for calling in.
Hugs,
Annie x
Love the idea you make all the grand kids a tree decoration .... And those gingerbread men look great!

Ah, button boxes...they enthral young and old alike! Whenever we play Newmarket, the card game, my boys still fight to get the 'best' buttons out of the tin!!
ReplyDeleteYou've been making some lovely things...and I like the green background best :-)

Lovely card designs and even more lovely munchkins. x Jo
ReplyDeletethose cards are gorgeous and a real keepsake for the recipients.
ReplyDeleteI think the cream background looks best, it makes the tree stand out more.
have a good week

I like the cream background best - the darker one looks as if the lights are out - but I think this would be good for a tree with some sparkly lights...

In your free time... OK, that bit made me laugh! I have no idea how you find free time!! Love the bauble cards and the C trees are lovely, the cream one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteI love that you make the grandees a tree dec each year, I knew a Danish lady that did the same for her children and when they left home they had there own start up decs for their own tree with all the childhood memories as a bonus.
Hi Annie!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I adore my pink (yay!) birdie key fob!! Thank you so much.
Lovely photos again today, love the idea of making tree decs each year for the little ones.
Hugs and Happy WOYWW,

How lovely to see you and Jo are bringing 'the little treasures' (meaning twins here) up to have a love of all things fabric related. But buttons are so fascinating anyway, aren't they.
ReplyDeleteWould never have guessed on the sweep thingy but it is obvious now you tell us.
Hugs and thanks for visiting me earlier - Neet 8 xx

You do a great job at popping in given that you're so busy Annie! really.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the green background for the tree, but only by a minuscule amount of preference...love the baubles..my, aren't they a lot of work?!
I just love those blue and silver cards Annie, and I prefer the cream background for the tree. the gingerbread men are the cutest thing ever. I also share decorations with the grandchildren, but I can't claim to have made them all. Aren't button boxes just the best thing for occupying little people? A lovely photo of the twinnies so engrossed with them. Kate x #84
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, love your delightful Christmas cards - each one is a work of art. And the gingerbread men are fabulous ... lazy me buys decorations to give as pressies each year so must think about making them instead :) The photo of the twins playing with your buttons reminds me of my grandmother - she had a button box and to amuse us she got us to pick out just one colour and thread them on a length of ribbon - such fun :) Have a great week, Elizabeth (slowly unpacking crafty stash) x #43
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely Christmas goodies, and the twinnies, you know we always want a pic of them! What little angel babies!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW to you!

ReplyDeleteHello, Annie, so sorry I'm late. Life's been a bit busy with things to sort out for my mum: teaching her how to use her white stick and helping her with all sorts of admin etc plus I've been trying hard to access better help for my son. However, this is a lovely post! I love your cards, you are so talented! Oh and those little birds are gorgeous! Congrats to the lucky winners! Your posts always lift my spirits! Good for WOYWW! Julie Ann xx #29
ReplyDeleteOh the birdies are so adorable! I will treasure mine. Thank you for all the smiles and WOYWW fun. Buttons are fascinating to youngin's aren't they! WOYWW hugs! Nan G #22 a bit late
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful projects you've been making, Annie! And what a lovely tradition to make something for your grandchildren to hang on the tree! Hmm, cream or green? I think I will go with the dark green.
