Gosh these Wednesdays soon come round don't they?
I must firstly say a big thank you to the wonderful blogging friends that have sent me ATCs this week. So many have sent much more than just an ATC. I have had gorgeous cards, wonderful messages and an awful lot of love....doesn'st it make you feel good? Thank you to each and every one of you.

I love each and every one of them cos they are all so different and all are made using the wonderful crafting skills you clever people have got....and of course cos they all included a bit of love from friends. I really do appreciate all the effort you have put into making them....and of course I still have more to come so I'm waiting by my postbox every morning :-)
I will be playing catch up again today with my sewing jobs as I have had the munchkins Monday and Tuesday this week [ and they are coming to play Friday too :-)....aren't I lucky? ].
This is my sewing rail with jobs waiting to be done....
There are 2 pair of jeans needing shortening and a gent's patchwork waistcoat that needs patching by the pocket....don't you just love the colours in it?
You might also notice the last two LillyBo quilts waiting to be posted to Jo [zart]. I am waiting for big sister Jo to finish her latest quilt then they will all be posted together to Jo [zart] with a few more LillyBo bears.....so look out for your postman soon Jo [zart].
The other job waiting on my desk to me done today is a tissue cover for my eldest Granddaughter, Phoebe to take to school with her in her bag cos she is starting school in September and has a couple of visits there soon.....it's such an exciting time.
I might show you a pic of her all dressed up in her school uniform this Friday if you'd like to pop back to join in the Friday Smile fun.
Well folks, that's all from me for today. I will pop by at yours to say hello as and when I am able in between my sewing jobs today [or maybe tomorrow.....but tomorrow I also have to fit in a hair cut and a visit to the Dr for my monthly weigh in!!!]. Busy busy days!!
Thanks for popping by....leave me a little hello message so I know you've called by.
Hugs,
Annie x
Happy Wednesday! x Jo
ReplyDeleteWe all seem to be running around 'chasing our tails' at the moment, don't we? But here the thermometer is showing 30ยบ at 8.00 in the morning, so I am up with the larks to walk the dogs and then I do as little as possible all day - and that's how it is for the next three months, and all those other things I think I have to do, don't seem so important after all. I do love the Mediterranean life-style!

You have certainly been busy whilst I've been in Germany! I#m looking forward to seeing your quilts when they arrive. We fly home later today and I hope England is as warm and sunny as we had here. I can but hope! I'll miss the family but I'll be back here in Sept for the new arrival. All are doing so well!

Lovely ATCs - beautiful gifts for you to treasure. A good rail of little sewing jobs - will you have time for a sit down before the munchkins arrive again?? Such lovely quilts - you are very talented - have never made a quilt or done any patchwork - they always look so delightful with the mix of colours.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

ReplyDeleteYou have received so many gorgeous ATC's (think we all have!) and your sewing rail looks a little busy, but I hope you have a great week. Helen 13
ReplyDeleteCrikey, what a lovely lot of ATC's you got Annie. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove the patchwork and really need to get my machine out and start some myself. Bought some fat quarters last week but now not sure they are the right colours for what I want so may have to go back.
Lovely quilt again but not sure what a tissue cover is. What does it feel like having a grand daughter starting school, don't they grow up quickly!
Right, must be off as just starting visits.
Love
Neet xx

Lovely collection of ATCs, and cards too - it's been an amazing couple of weeks waiting for the postman to call :) Phoebe starting school! They grow up far to fast. Hoping to find the time to check in for the Friday Smile, in between packing for the hols. Happy WOYWW. Elizabeth x #78
ReplyDeleteCrumbs Annie, do you EVER stop? So full of busy, but always such 'happy busy'.
ReplyDeleteNow, is the hair cut before the weigh-in? I'd do it that way round just to be a nano-gram of an ounce lighter.......but then I can be a devious little minx :)
Happy WOYWW!
Hugs, Di (the hedgehog stalker!) xx

Lovely ATC's you have received Annie. My little granddaughter Phoebe went to her Induction Day at her new nursery. It is part of the school she will go to next year in Sept. It will be only half day each week so to help out we will look after her on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. We did the same for her elder sister who is in Reception at the moment. She will definitely keep us on our toes. Happy WOYWW and for visiting me. Ane x #75

ReplyDeleteHi Annie
ReplyDeleteworking in a haberdashery dept. it always amazes me the way people cannot do the simplest sewing jobs but are willing to pay someone else to do them (luckily for you) we even had someone recently wanted a repair done on her 'smalls'.... yuk!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by and saying you can't believe I hate my creations. Truth is, I hate a lot of them, but they grow on me. Like mould!
