WOYWW....

As most of you will know I've been away for a few days to Yorkshire to meet up with Dutch friends that we met in France in 2000.  We do our best to have a few days together every year to enjoy some quality fun time.  I'm starting today's post with a few snaps we took whilst away as requested by that 'much older' sister of mine.  :-)

You should be able to click on the pics if you'd like a closer look.

We called in here in Settle for a coffee but even though I did look very hard I didn't see any!  :-).....it was lovely coffee though.

Now I'd best show you what you've called in to see and that is....

What actually is on my desk today?

Jo and I had a great Funday Monday afternoon dumfing and these are what I made.   I do hope that when I have finished my sewing jobs today I can bead them up ready for mounting onto the fronts of books and cards......I do love poppies.

Thank you for calling in and leaving such fab comments.  I will do my best to drop in to visit you in between my sewing jobs today.
Hugs,
Annie x

Now why have I never been to Duttons for Buttons. I thought I'd sussed out the ultimate crafty tour of York with all the bead shops and craft places but I've never been there.... YET! Trust you to find a naked man too!! I hope they wore aprons whilst serving your meal.
Beautiful poppy dumfings.... how did you find time?

Can click on the first photo but not the buttons one. Looks like a great shop - may have to persuade Andy to go over to Yorkshire for a snoop. Now where do I know Kirkstall Abbey from, is it Cranmer?
Love the poppies, but then I always do.
Thanks for calling in earlier and for your comments - always appreciated. Taking the dog out later - she loves the frosty ground, thinks it's her playground.
Have a great week.

I love poppies too. In UK I had a frilly oriental poppy plant called Mrs Perry.
I am glad you had a good time in York. I could do with visiting that button shop. I have trouble getting the right ones out here.
I didn't make it to our Wednesday fest this week but hopefully I will be back next week.

Ohhh you've been to our neck of the woods, Annie. I even have a friend who works in Duttons for Buttons but in Ilkley. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.
We come and stay with Yorkshire friends who now live in Ludlow and we always comment how similar the countryside is!!

Because I'm late, I've seen your ironing board bedecked with finished poppies - a sight for sore eyes I can tell ya, quite lovely. The button place is just heaven, my word you could spend a fortune and not really have a lot to show for it, huh! Great pics. And of course you looked hard for the naked man; we expect nothing less than thorough investigative coffee tasting!

York is always such a delightful place to visit, except when it rains and the place floods. In fact it is my other half's favourite place on earth.
Thanks for sharing and giving me a bit of a reminder that home is where the heart is.
