Phew it's Wednesday again!....where do the other days in between go?
My weeks seem to fly by and every one seems to be pretty manic. This week I have...
- Had a table at Marton Craft Fair on Saturday with much older sister Jo and her daughter Maxine [pics below].
- Been treated to tea out and a night at the theatre in Shrewsbury on Sunday by that much older sister of mine. We went to see Greg Davies...very funny. Thanks Jo.
- Had a FUNDAY Monday with just Jo this week....we talked over ways to sell our hand made crafts and made a display of them in my sewing room for my customers to see.
- I opened up a Facebook page for our shop to try to advertise it more....if you would like to check it out and maybe 'like' it for us I would be really grateful. I'm pretty new to it all but it does say we need 30 likes before we can move on to the next step [I think! :-) ] Click on this link. Sorry if this is advertising Julia....we just want to be 'liked'. :-)
- I had a munchkin day with my gorgeous twin Grandchildren yesterday....much a fun time was had by all... so today I will be playing catch up with my sewing jobs.
So what is on my desk today I hear you shout....
My latest batch of quick Christmas cards I have made.....yes just a bit of simple paper craft ones this time.
And my latest parcel of gorgeous new wool rovings I have bought from Sara. What yummy colours they are too....have a feeling I will need to stroke these a while before I will be using them :-)
That's about it from me for today. I will do my best to call by to visit all who leave me comments in between my sewing jobs. Thanks for calling by and I really hope you all have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
Your little craft display looks good - I am sure your customers will find something they would like to buy! Those rovings look good enough to eat - such fab colours. x Jo
ReplyDeleteAt last! Got to you before you got to me!
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear you have been having a delightful social time, must be nice to have a sister to share things with.
Gorgeous rovings, forgot to show mine that I bought at weekend - now I must get roving, or should I say, Dumfing!
Happy WOYWW Annie
Love
neet xx
Hope the Facebook page goes well! Craft fairs are always a bit hit and miss, especially in these financial times....
ReplyDeleteLove the wool rovings - bright colours to cheer up this dull grey November morning!
Hugs, LLJ #32 xx
You've been so busy I hope it all goes well. I will nip over to your FB page and add a like for you.
ReplyDeleteLynn//46
You have had a great week. I wish I could get my head round Facebook but just don't understand it!
ReplyDeleteJulie xxxxxxxx
Well it really won't be hard to say we "like" YOU!!! Love all your crafty goods, such a great display and I think you should get on etsy. I'm told it is quite easy. I call rovings "tops" and I met someone at a workshop that also calls them tops. I thought it was just me.
ReplyDeleteglad to see you venturing into papercrafts with your lovely cards!
love Jo x
Excited with collywobbles waiting to go to the airport later! Yeah!
I meant to say that I'll do you some gingerbread men when I get back. The children can colour in plain ones and patterned ones make super bunting.
ReplyDeleteJo x
The craft table looks fab... am off to "like you" now!! Oh my that wool looks scrummy! Helen, 8
ReplyDeleteI have 'liked' (how could anyone not like you and your 'older' sister), have also 'shared' so you may get a few more likes as well.
ReplyDeleteLove the rovings, beautiful colours and well done on making so many Christmas cards, my first one has yet to hit the desk.

That table display is a great idea..can I be really cheeky and bossy and suggest that you put little price tags in front of each thing..like the Christmas Crafts sign (but smaller!). Lots of your customers will look but not instantly twig that they're for sale or be a bit shy to pick up and ponder...pricing up front delivers the sale message and that
ReplyDeleteencourages a proper look and once it's picked up...sold!! This is based entirely on my own experience in the shop and market environment...and my own frustration at not being able to see a price before I get excited about something!!
Annie, your selection of crafts is fantastic. I love the look of that wool too. Have a good Day. Hugs Rita xx
ReplyDeleteYou sound as busy as ever. Do I spy a purple monkey on your stall???
ReplyDelete** Kate **
Hullo there Annie , well my dear go on once every blue moon but have been over and liked you :D and you had 21 likes when I left ah that's my age you know ;)
ReplyDeleteand can so see why you love to stroke that wool first, it does look so stroke-able! luffly!
Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #1
Your are already 'liked' Annie, and hopefully you will get the required 100 to move you the scale - what ever that is. Your little cards look good. If I try and do simple cards like that they never turn out as well as yours. Happy days.
ReplyDeletex Tricia #83
Thanks so much for visiting my workdesk earlier. Your cards look good as does rthe stuff you are selling. Sorry I can't 'like you' any as I just don't 'do' Facebook. I like you anyway. :0) Happy Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteA quick visit.
I just LOVE your wool!!
Have a great Wednesday.

Hugs Marleen #4
love your craft stall-you have a great variety of things-they all look beautiful- we find that smaller things sell better for stocking fillers etc-also our stall was raising money for our boys christian school so we probably got some support because of that-hopefully you'll do better at the next one, ellie xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments..Francesca #72
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had a lovely week... and the craft stall looks fantastic! I'm sure Julia won't hold it against you that you want to be liked - and I would "like" you, only I'm afraid I'm one of the Facebook refuseniks - holding out by the skin of my teeth... If I give in, I'll be sure to "like" you straight away!! Thanks for your visit and happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteAlison x
Your booth looks lovely. Not realy a facebook person but I'm sure you will be at your required #'s quite quickly!
ReplyDeleteI think you have the right blance in height and type on your booth so should do well. I agree with Julia about the price tages though. I like to look and not paw through someones display. It makes a lot of work for you to rearrange everyhting after the lookyloo's.
Oooh! Lovely things here! I would love to "like" you but I don't know much about facebook. Of course if ever I do join the throng I will like you straight away - meanwhile good luck reaching your target! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteWow what a busy week youve had, loving those wools, they are very pretty. Im not a knitter so would just be stroking them for a long time :)

Your crafts are splendid and so very English. i mean that in a positive way as they are adorable without being fussy and commercial and as an e brit anything made of wool is so superior to anything seen here at craft shows, the cock was especially magnificent, as was the doll with blond hair.(in an earlier post).
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have had a great time Annie. The display looks very appealing. Super cards and the rovings are such lovely colours. Happy WOYWW Anne x #124
ReplyDeletePS forgot to say that will be off to like you officially :-) A x
ReplyDeleteyour crafty makes look really great, sorry I don't 'do' facebook but good luck with the shop anyway.
ReplyDeletejanet #26
Your display looks beautiful. I do love those bears. I wish you all the luck in the world with your efforts to sell your goods. I was so disappointed for you after the fair at the weekend. We have the same trouble here. I have a sale tomorrow but that is only for my mincepies, and next week is our village art and craft group Christmas expo, but last year none of sold very much. It's still a good day with a group of friends.
ReplyDeleteI will do the facebook 'like' as soon as I can, but I must visit a few desks tonight before I fall asleep at the computer. Kate x
Pinned your work with a backlink to your blog. Good luck jenx
