So here we are at another Wednesday and yet another world wide snoop round all the crafty spaces. What am I going to share with you today?
The post man has brought me two more gorgeous ATCs this week.
24. from Sue
and
25. from Fiona
Thank you both so much. I love them.
My handsome son [yes if course I'm biased] and his gorgeous girlfriend have been away on holiday this week and while they were there he took her to the end of a pier looking out over the sea for a picnic and then proposed to her. :-)
What an old romantic he is eh? We are so very thrilled with the news and of course now have another wedding to plan. :-)
Of course you have really come here to see my desk so this week that is what I'm gonna show you in all it's glory....and b****** curtains!
I have 4 pair of curtains to make for a caravan and 8 tie backs to go with them. Of course they are only small curtains so not such a struggle as the big ones I get but there are 8 of them to make!
The eagle eyed of you might spot Mitzy monkey in the window soaking up the sun. :-) She likes to sit and watch me when I sew.
Well thats it from me for today. I had a wonderful day with the twins yesterday so it's head down today to catch up with the sewing. Hope you have enjoyed your visit and will leave me a little comment before dashing off over to Julia's. I will do my best to pay you a return visit in between hems :-)
Take care and have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
I'm a bit blurry eyed this morning (only just got up!!!!) so had to look hard for Mitzy! Another wedding. how lovely for you, don't know where yo get your energy from. Perhaps we can catch up one day (soon), Thinking of you.

My goodness but that's a beast of a sewing machine you have there!!! You could probably assemble a small car or boat using that thing! I hate, hate, hate doing curtains so am sending you lots of sympathy and chocolate. Has it got to you through the Interweb wires, yet?? No? It's on its way!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ #60
PS You made me laugh with your comment! He was wearing shorts, lol!!
What a lovely romantic thing to do & congratultions to your son & partner on their engagement.

Ah, how romantic :) Many congratulations to both of them, lovely photo too.
ReplyDeleteCurtains? Eeek - still got all the headings and hem to do but no doubt you'll have them done super fast,
Am peeking at four, yes four, pairs of cargo trousers here to shorten for the Boss. :( Sigh.
Hugs, Di xx
Congrats to the happy couple. And good luck with all those curtains. Rather you than me!
ReplyDeletecheers, rachel #53
I have a serious case of sewing machine envy, but I'll pass o nthe curtain making. Once made a pair of floor length brown velvet curtains (it was the '70s) and had to move all the furniture to do the cutting out - never again.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your son and his fiancee, beats proposing in a kitchen hands down.

Hugs and thanks for visiting me - Neet #3 xx
Hi Annie - congratulations to the handsome happy couple! You are going to be even busier - you had better hurry up with the curtains!! WOYWW Hugs Helen 64
ReplyDeleteCongrats to happy couple. Annie, could you tell me where you bought the special curtain tape for the caravan curtains? We took delivery of a new'van recently and you could "spit peas" through the curtains. I promised to make new ones but can't find the special tape..Thanks.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the gorgeous couple. Lovely ATC's your have quite a collection. My mother made all my curtains she loved sewing, so I never had to do anything!! Probably why I spend so much time crafting.
ReplyDeleteSandra @99
Congratulations to the happy couple and to you as well. Another wedding, how wonderful.
ReplyDeletemany congrats to your son - what a lovely way to propose! sorry about the b... curtains but you shouldn't be so good at it!! Have a great day. Helen, 12
ReplyDeleteIts great to know romance is not dead ...congrats to them both.
ReplyDeleteBet you cant wait to see the back of those curtains.
Jake is out of surgery ....Steve says he looks as though he has gone several rounds with a boxer ...they are waiting to hear the results of how well it went.
Oh Annie, another wedding to plan….your family sure know how to keep you on your toes don’t they.
ReplyDeleteYou’re table is looking fit to burst too I have to say. At least the curtains are only small and you don’t have to cope with too much fabric in one go.
Happy Crafting!

Hi Annie, more of the much-hated curtains ... they might be teeny-weeny but if you hate a job then nothing really improves it. Congrats to the happy couple ... they do make a handsome pair. Another wedding outfit to make and you've not even made the one for the upcoming wedding :) Rolled down and took a trip round your garden ... lovely photos and those roses are a treat. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #85
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son and future daughter! Lovely pictures. thanks for sharing! Glenda 100

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the upcoming wedding! Good luck with your curtains. Looks like you've got a good start. Happy WOYWW! Tammy #106
ReplyDeleteHi Annie congratulations to the happy couple - how lovely another wedding. I loved all the preparations when my son's were planning their weddings. I was locky in that I got on (and still do) well with my DIL's to be and was included in everything. Made the wedding cake for younger son. I hate sewing curtains - don't envy you at all. Happy WOYWW Anne x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son and his girlfriend, how exciting to be able to plan a wedding. Hugs, Amanda #56
ReplyDeletewow, love your sewing machines. I bought myself a £30 one on gumtree last month. I have only got as far as making a new pillowcase/cushion cover (from a cheap tesco one) for Little Miss A. However, small steps. My next job is to make a neck roll for her to help her keep her head in line. might be asking for tips lol. thanks for popping by earlier

ReplyDeleteI hate sewing curtains, but as my sister made them for a living, I rarely have to!
Glad you had a happy time with the twins. I'm still admiring your beautiful ATC. Thanks again.

ReplyDeleteI don't envy you the curtains, but I would love to have somewhere to keep my sewing machine up all the time.
What lovely ATCs. We haven't made any for ages.
ReplyDeleteAwww how romantic indeed! Congrats to both of them! Looks like those curtains will keep you busy! x April #88
ReplyDeleteHi Annie,
ReplyDeleteOh yes, your son is quite handsome -- and his lovely fiance is very pretty too -- a nice pair!
The curtains look interesting - strips sewn together?

Wow loads of curtains, believe it or not since doing the artsycrafts fabric book day (still not quite finished yet) I am hooked on fabric, I love going to our local fabric shop and buy the cut offs of curtain fabric etc. Congratulations to your son and his girlfriend. Love the ATC's, I have started making some spare now hoping to find somewhere to swap them lol. Happy woyww :-) Kezzy x
