WOYWW...

Hello all.   I'm sorry I didn't make it to join in the fun last week....it was an eventful week as many of you will know from reading my Friday post.  I'm pleased to say things have settled down again now but we are expecting more ups and downs over the next few weeks so I may have to go AWOL again.....as long as our little grandson arrives safe and well we will do all we can to help out.

It's strange but when I have family demands I never have customers and last week was one of those weeks so, when I was able, I spent my time sewing for pleasure...

The cot quilt is now finished.  I tried to do do the panels with applique but soon realised that to make it washable it would all have to be securely sewn in place and it didn't look right so I found some fabric panels to replace them...and am rather pleased with the results.

There were spare panels and fabrics so I have also made a matching cushion for the chair in the baby's nursery and matching bunting too.

I then made 12 little 'favour bags' for the up and coming baby shower party [just hope she makes it til then!].  They are rather cute and will decorate the table well.

I hope you have all had a great week.  If you leave me a little message I will do my best to pay you a return visit asap.

Hugs,

WOYWW...

Happy Whizday to you all.  These weeks are flying by aren't they.  It's been a busier one for me at Sewing by Annie's.  I finished the quilt I'd been asked to make and can share it here as the recipient doesn't read my blog but it may be a while before I can add it to my Facebook page as it is being given as a gift....

I made quilts for the first two little girls in the family so it was really lovely to be asked to make another on for little Freddie.

Then it was back to bear making for me.  This one with an added tie and....

…..this one with a bright orange bow.

I was also asked to make a little cushion for the one bear using the logo off the gentleman's jacket.

I love all the little extra challenges I'm given and the pleasure it gives my customers when they see the finished items.

Thanks for calling by this week.  If you leave me a little message to let you know you've called by I will do my best to pay you a return visit.
Hugs,

WOYWW.....

Hello all and welcome to my weekly catch up on what's been going on this week here at Sewing by Annie's.

It's been another busy and varied week with everything from.....

The next Bridesmaids dresses to alter....the big one is actually a lovely purple in colour and the little flowers I've sewn on the front of the little dress are the same purple to match....very pretty too.

Gina and Mark had  large curtains cut down to make smaller ones to fit the windows in their new house so of course what was cut off was perfect to make two large floor cushions to match.  I used the curtain lining to make big cushions then made the cushion covers to match the curtains....they already have smaller cushions to match.

Little Theo says he's a big bot now and was far too big to want to sit on the plastic booster cushion 'like a baby'! so last week we bought two foam cushion seat pads and since then I've cut them to fit our kitchen chairs and covered them in Noddy fabric to make 'big boy's' cushion to so he can reach the table at meal times.....Cos he's not quite as big as he thinks yet :-) :-)

My last pic is a puzzle for all you expert gardeners out there.  These plants have grown from a packet of wild flower seeds we scattered and are a complete mystery to us.  I thought they were Evening Primrose plants but as yet they have no flowers [or any signs of flowers coming yet either].  They are now about 5 foot tall!  Do any of you have any idea what they might be?  Please help us solve our puzzle.

Thanks for calling by.  Please leave me a little message so I know you've been and I will do my best to pay you a return visit ASAP.
Hugs,
Annie x
