WOYWW...

Hello all.  I've had another busy week here at Sewing by Annie's but its not been all work :-)  It's my birthday tomorrow so there's been a few early birthday treats too...

Saturday we went to Birmingham to see John Bishop at the NIA....he was brilliant [we laughed until our faces ached].  We then stayed the night in a hotel and had breakfast the next morning before we went back home.

Monday night we went to Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury to see Russell Watson [a birthday treat for my big sister]....he was amazing and a good night was had by all.

I have had a few customers needing sewing and in between I have...

....made the 7 cushion pads and put books in each of the front pockets.

I have also been sewing some of the little frogs.

I had a very sad looking little Ted arrive through my door this week.  He is 76 years old and was falling apart sadly.  I sat chatting to his owner who was a lovely gentleman and had been given Ted for his first Christmas.  We discussed what he wanted me to do.  He needed a new arm and ear making, two new eyes, a good wash and restuffing.  Some of his panels were falling apart and needed replacing too.

Here is Ted after  I'd finished with him....he certainly looks better than he did.  I couldn't match the fur perfectly and even had to dye what I managed to get with coffee.

That's all from me for today.  I hope you will leave me a little message so I know you've called in and I will do my best to pay you a visit ASAP.
Hugs,
Annie x

  5. Love your book cushions, such a great gift. I wonder where I can get hold of some Harry Potter fabric! Wishing you a happy birthday. It was my birthday Friday, but an upset tummy spoilt the day slightly. Happy WOYWW. Angela #10

  10. Ah Annie, John Bishop, Russell Watson...name dropping or what! How fab JB with a night away, what a lovely birthday treat, we all need to laugh till our faces ache now and then don't we! And then you rescue that beautiful teddy bear, I bet the gentleman will be so happy, would make me teary! The pillow and books is such a lovely idea, what a great Christmas Eve type 'calm the excitement' gift they would make. I'm late to the party as usual, but best wishes for your birthday, and many happy returns!
