Hello all. I hope all is well and happy with you all. I've had a steady trickle of customers so far this week but it has still allowed me to finish the creative projects I've been working on....but I'm sorry to say I can't share them with you yet. [I have taken pics so will share them soon].
I did some special sewing this week for a lady who had had a mastectomy a couple of years ago and had treated herself to a bikini and swimming costume for an up and coming holiday but she came for me to adapt both to take her prosthesis. I love a challenge and it was so lovely to see the smile on her face at what I was able to do.
That's all from me for this week. I hope to be able to call by to see what you've all been up to this week.
Hugs,
Annie x

WOW! That is some bears! Congratulations and well done on getting so far and await the big number! What is the picture you are showing us - looks like mini bears.
ReplyDeleteWell Nursey, it looks like the ankle is a mess. Sadly I could not understand the doctor I saw. A junior doctor of Asian descent with a very strong accent. He was lovely, and very good looking. Reminded me of a TV actor who is a bit of a heart throb. Anyway, that aside, there was something about sepsis, I'm hoping it was that they are trying to avoid it. Anyhow they are consulting a microbiologist to see if they/he can recommend something ",under the counter" that might be strong and good for the swab result.
They should be ringing me with some antibiotics this afternoon.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
Forgot to say, it must have taken some courage for the lady to let you see her undressed. I remember my best friend had one breast off and it took her a while to show me - and I was the only one who she showed for a long long time.
ReplyDeleteSo glad she felt comfortable with you. You certainly have the manner with you to put people at ease. Just that smile and your gentle voice is all it takes. I find it easy to open up to you.
Neet again xx
So many bears and I’m so glad you could help the woman who had a mastectomy.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you’ll have others coming to you following your work for her.
Happy WOYWW
