I had so many lovely messages last week wishing me well and thankfully it's worked. I have managed to shake the bugs off so I can face the next challenges life is throwing at me.....more of which I will share some other time.
I had a special request this week from one of my customers....
She sent me a link to this and asked if I could make one for her little girl. I followed the link and after much juggling I managed to print off the patterns.
It took me well over an hour to make the tiny chick [it's only about 4 cm tall!!] with her little 'sleeping bag' egg so I felt it was impossible to charge a sensible price....and wont be making more lol.
I asked for a donation for Harry Johnson Charity and she gave me £5 so it was a win win situation...and I did enjoy making it even if it was very fiddly.
The other thing on my desk today is the next army of frogs in the making...these go to each newly diagnosed child with cancer in the area to introduce them to The Harry Johnson Trust that funds many things for the children affected.
That's all from me for today. I hope you're all well and happy.
Hugs,
Annie x
Glad you are feeling better! that chick is fab, but sounds a real faff... Nice that she made a donation to the charity though. Happy WOYWW and happy frog-making! Helen #3
ReplyDeleteThe little chick is fab and will be loved I'm sure. Too fiddly to mass produce though . Well done on the leggy frogs. See you soon x x x Jo 🌈
ReplyDeletePeople really don’t appreciate the time it takes to make something when they ask ‘Oh can you just make….?” And the smaller it is, the more fiddly! I’m glad she gave you a decent amount for it. Love your leggy froggies!!

Glad you are feeling better and long may it continue. The chicken is lovely but I know what you mean about the amount of time taken to make it. I have been asked by several of Leanne’s friends to make a teddy in the same pattern as the HP one I made for her big birthday. My answer: like his owner he will be an only child!!
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, thanks for the lovely comment over at mine. Love the little chicken it's so sweet. I'm a bit late today as we took the dogs for a hair cut this morning and not been back long. Pleased to hear you're feeling better. I love your little frogs they make me smile and I'm sure the people who get them will feel the same. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x8x
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you are feeling much better, just hope it's 100% soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the frogs although I am not a fan of real ones, yours don't jump so they are lovely.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
Glad you are feeling a little better Annie. The chick is cute but looks very fiddly. I have now unfortunately had to cancel the crop as the numbers would have made things too expensive, but thanks for the offer from you and Jo. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're feeling better! All the better to enjoy! Springtime
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better! Lovely idea to make the frogs and I love the chicken and sleeping bag! Happy WOYWW! Susan #13
